The name 'Kithworto Aknatazán' is a fiction established in truth. It is true that, once, there was a Kicath named Kithworto Aknatazán; a young and promising soldier of the Coalition. To many of us, that soldier of the Coalition goes on in history as a legendary war hero who spat in the face of gods and devils to protect us all. It was Kithworto, the vessel of an ancient creature that did this; Kithworto Aknatazán the Kicath died decades ago.

- Agent Tau

Kithworto Aknatazán is the name given to the most famous Kicath in Gigaquadrantic history; a war hero of the War of Ages, Second War of Black Fog and the Third Xhodocto War, Kithworto's name is revered in Gigaquadrantic legend in both equal terms of respect, admiration and fear. A well-guarded secret of Kithworto's life is his possession by a rogue Malakh named Nava-Maktansavansar sometime between the Second War of Black Fog and the Third Xhodocto War; those who knew Kithworto recgonised his slowly altering persona; the Malakh slowly absorbing Kithworto's psyche. Little of Kithworto's former self remained by the end of the Third Xhodocto War, and his final known act was disappearing from the territories of the Kicath entirely. Decades after Kithworto's disappearance, several unfounded rumours have circulated about Kithworto's fate.

History[]

As with many Kicath, little is known of Kithworto's life before his involvement as a combatant during the War of Ages. Kithworto was born on the Kicathian homeworld of Paclernos into House Aknatazán, one of the most ancient and affluent houses of Kicathian society. Kithworto is the nephew of Kitalatheraz Aknatazán, the head of the family and considered one of the most powerful Kicathian aristocrats. Little else is known of Kithworto's family, though it has been divulged by Kithworto himself that he has four other siblings. It is likely that, given his status as a member of a highborn family, Kithworto and his sibilings were raised in relative privacy in comparison to the rest of Kicathian society; Kithworto's induction into military service is typical of highborn Kicath, which is indicative of the warrior-class social caste that Kicath value.

While it is likely that Kithworto saw combat prior to the War of Ages, no information has been given. Kithworto was present during the events of the War of Ages sometime after the gigaquadrantic demon invasion of 2766. At this stage, Kithworto was a middle-ranking captain of the Kicathian armed force, to which he recieved a promotion to a high-ranking official by the end of the War of Ages. Between this and the Second War of Black Fog, Kithworto became a member of the Kicathian Agent force as a squadron commander, which included Agent Mu and later Agent Psi during the events of the war in 2781. Kithworto and his squadron joined forces with Jerkon, Koluap and Macin Xermilin, from where Kithworto and Koluap maintained a decades-long friendship. Between 2781 and 2791, Kithworto's squadron was concerned with uprooting remnants of The Corruptus and other demonic forces that were coalescing in the Milky Way Galaxy and Andromeda Galaxy. In this time frame, Kithworto encountered the Malakh known as Nava-Maktansavansar and was possessed by the entity. In these ten years, Kithworto was at constant inner war with himself, though by the events of an expedition of an ancient technological vault, Kithworto and Nava-Maktansavansar appeared to show signs of mutual cooperation, despite the latter inevitably taking over the former's mind.

By the events of the Third Demonic Invasion in 2791, it was clear that Nava-Maktansavansar's personality was overcoming Kithworto's. Aiding a squadron of carefully chosen allies, Kithworto led the team into halting what was potentially the largest demonic threat to the Gigaquadrant in history.

Characteristics[]

Appearance[]

A Kicath of average height, Kithworto once bore 'usual' Kicathian features that were transformed after his possession by Nava-Maktansavansar. Kithworto came to be known as a Kicath of an unusually dark pigment of skin, with his stripes and eye colour turning a crimson red as the Malakh's power began to course through him. Like most Kicath, Kithworto once possessed a wealth cybernetic augmentations that were well-masked by Kicathian surgical procedures, though it became apparent that the Malakh possession caused Kithworto's body to regenerate and absorb the cybernetic enhancements. As Kicathian enhancements halt the aging process, Kithworto's age was indeterminable by galactic sources, though his relatively youthful appearance would suggest he was not far beyond physical maturity when undertaking procedures. Many estimate that Kithworto was no older than 100 during the events of the War of Ages.

Personality[]

The younger Kithworto, before his transformation, possessed an atypical sardonic wit for Kicath which was likely acquired during his youth as a soldier in extragalactic environments. Despite his somewhat grim demeanour and possessing what is typically referred to as the 'Kicathian attitude', Kithworto had also acquired a sense of compassion during his life as a Kicath. Though such traits remained after his transformation, it was clear that the Malakh possession began to alter his views on existence, eventually obscuring what could be deemed right and wrong. At times, it was shown that Kithworto's personality battled with the transformation, showing signs of deep internal turmoil that waned as the Kicathian persona disappeared. After fully transforming, Kithworto no longer appeared to hold any attachments to the Gigaquadrant and could no longer identify with others. He did however form a strong friendship with Koluap, who he regarded as a friend even in his deepest stages of possession.

Abilities[]

Even before his transformation, Kithworto was a highly trained and skilled combatant proficient in several forms of martial arts both indigenous and foreign. His cybernetic enhancements, with military purposes, allowed for a significant heightening of the senses and greatly increased physical capabilities, which allowed him to perform on par with Kicathian Agents during the War of Ages, though was eventually surpassed by Agent Nu and Tau. Kithworto's transformation granted him supernatural abilities, primarily use of essence which appeared to grow in potency over time. By the events of the Third Xhodocto War, Kithworto was an exceptionally powerful being, of whose abilities began to rival and even surpass that of Essentials and Ultraterrestrials. It is thought that Kithworto's perception and potential evolved to a state that the matters of the First Gigaquadrant, and reality in of itself, were no longer his concern.

Quotes[]

Don't worry, we can find a way to get that interdimensional thing out of your kidney. I'll bring big guns so we can shoot it really hard afterwards!

- Koluap

I have fought alongside this Kicath against a number of grave threats. Whatever his fate is, I firmly believe those who oppose him will come to regret doing so.

- Jerkon

You already belong to our design. Cease your interferences.

- Shu'rimrodir

I CAN TAKE DIS GEEZA IN A FITE. SHUDDUP IM NOT SCARED

- Fre'kloar

It's impossible to know what we'll lose over time, what parts of ourselves are sacrificed in the war between light and darkness - to the altars of the war within and the war without. Is Aknatazán's hollowing by a light beyond light the only way, the one true path to keep the darkness and chaos at bay? Wherever fate takes him, I only hope it guides him back to us.

- Hachiman

What are 'light' and 'darkness' but alternate forms of order, vying for control? The status quo prolonging its inevitable demise through shattered bones and bloodied teeth, while myriad new paradigms struggle to be born. Aknatazán understands more than most. When the hunt grows desperate, the higher powers will fight with the tools of their enemies.

- Amvradhati

Everything was always tests and trials with him, always readying for the future. Did he fail whatever test that angel - that thing - put him through? Or was it always a foregone conclusion that he'd abandon everything when the fighting was done? Maybe it's easier for him this way. You don't have to deal with the responsibilities of right or wrong or struggle with your sanity if you're just not there.

- Kithanan

I always knew Kithworto to be strong of will. From our first meeting to our last, I could see the purpose in his eyes. Is the old Kithworto we knew assuredly gone? I do not know, but someone of his character would not go without a fight. Even if Kithworto is no more, my doubts say what he is now, what now occupies his body did not do so with itself unchanged.

- Uriel Ultanos

I kicked a shadow from your mind once, and I would do it again.
