This creature is a graceful, and wise one that has two natural weapons. Its tail (which was obviously inspired by a scorpion's) can puncture any hide, fur, or scale, and leave a gaping wound to its victim. Although it lacks poison, the gash caused by the attack is vulnurable to infections. Its second weapon are its strong legs which it can use to leap into the air and claw at its prey. While they do have wings, they are usually used for show, or to glide short distances. Their hard helm like structure at the top of the skull is a vestigial feature that was used by males to headbutt each other in order to mate.
They are very religious, and are called zealots by other races. Though they are physically weak, they are extremely agile as their slender body allows them to twist and turn almost without limits.
All Alroaxts belief in the pantheon of 12 gods, which are divided into three groups.
The Path of Harmony:
-Rak'lo, god of light.
-Tria, goddess of beauty.
-Aa'le, god of valor.
-Pilaso, god of the sun.
The Scales of Balance:
-Shii, goddess of weather.
-Soast, god of the elements.
-Ji'Kla, goddess of knowledge.
-Jokt, god of nature.
The Flow of Chaos:
-Rika, goddess of the moon.
-Sirik, god of death.
-Aa'he, god of war.
-Hohed, god of decay.
Those who follow the gods in the Path of Harmony believe it is their responsibility to destroy the influence of the gods in the Flow of Chaos, and believe that the Alroaxt who follow the gods of the Scales of Balance are not fulfilling their part by aiding them in their war, and declared them enemies as well.
Those who choose to follow the gods in the Flow of Chaos believe it is their divine right to kill those too weak to defend for themselves. They view the Alroaxt from the Path of Harmony to be useless, as they aid those who should die due to their inability to cope by themselves. They believe that since the Scales of Balance also help their sick, and weak, to be inferior to them.
Those in the Scales of Balance would have rather stayed neutral in the war, but the constant attacks by the Flow of Chaos followers, and the constant pressure from those of the Path of Harmony caused them to choose a side, their own.
This divided the world for thousands of years.
