The Apocrita society is similar to that of bees and other eusocial organisms. The dominant sex of tis planet are the females who make up most of the population. Male are virtually useless and are only need for sex and ceremonial battles for rule.The Apocrita homeworld has multple kingdoms ruled by a single queen mother or the hive mind of the colony. The queens are the only breeding females besides the free thinkers that make up the noble class. The queens rule as an absolute monarch whose word is law. If the queen is weak or can not produce offspring, the hive mind could chose to over throw her and set up a new queen. Challengers who wish to rule the hive can chose to challenge the queen's champion, her chosen mate, for the rule of the colony. The noble class is made up of fertile males and females who chose to stay in the hive instead taking another or starting their own. This noble class doesn't have a hive mind and are able to breed at free-will but have only two offspring as long as they stay in the queen's domain. Each female chooses her mate and can kill them if they fail to provide for her. Any of them can one take over the hive after the death of the original queen but the queen normally choses her successor. The slave or worker class is made up of hive-minded males and females. They share the same thoughts, the same feelings, and care only for the welfare of the hive not their own self. The workers have more power than the queen since she rules through their will.

Apocrita technology is organically based. The Apocrita having living ships that are grown in the hives. The ships function like most animals and need to be fed.
