The Arachnisaurs are a insectoid race that lives in warm, open fields. The Arachnisaurs look similar to the Arachnids of the movie Starship Troopers. I figured, "hey every game needs weird bug monsters". These are those monsters.
[edit] My Race's History
The Arachnisaurs evolved to an intelligent level around 2000 BC Human time. They thrived on a planet similar to earth, Arathi Prime, but with less water. Around 2150, the neighboring solar system's 3rd planet's race, the Daedragor, enslaved the Arachnisaurs. In the year 2452, the Arachnisaurs rebelled and massacred the homeworld of the Daedragor, about 300,000 light years away from Arathi Prime. By 2569, the Arachnisaurs had fully taken over the Daedragor homeworld. Since then, the Arachnisaurs have been searching for Arachnid Prime. They are very close to faster than light space travel....

The Arachnisaurs do not require hosts to reproduce, but it is preferred as Host-born Arachnisaurs live longer.
[edit] The war of Daedra
The Daedragor were a vile race that used the Arachnisaurs as slaves and food. The Arachnisaurs fought a violent, bloody, war with the Daedragor. The final battle was the Battle of Raktajinaai(rack-da-gina-i), in which the Arachnisaurs killed 45 million civilian Daedragor. The Daedragor were in total war with the Arachnisaurs. By the end of this conflict, 604 Million Arachnisaurs were killed and the Daedragor were anhilated.

The main religion of the Arachnisaurs is a religion similar to the culture of the Klingons from the TV series Star Trek. The Arachnisaurs believe that a death in an action that helped the empire, death after years of service to the empire and death of old age is an honorable event, to be celebrated. The Arachnisaurs believe that when you die, you either go to a place called Arathi Omega, basically heaven. If you don't die honorably, you come back to life again and must live until you die honorably.
[edit] Battle Doctrine
The Arachnisaurs rarely use weapons and prefer to use their bare scythes. Their exoskeleton, durable enough to survive an impact from a laser shot of 20,000 degrees Fahrenheit, keep them alive long enough to rip apart their enemies. The Arachnisaurs charge straight on, they also dig underground and come up behind the enemies. The Arachnisaurs rarely receive orders, they destroy any enemy without hesitation. This battle style, while flawed, is very effective as the Arachnisaurs annihilated the Daedragor using this tactic.
[edit] The search for Arathi Prime
The Arachnisaurs have not been to Arathi Prime since their kidnapping in 2003 BC. Since this date they have been trying to return to their planet. The planet is very Earth-like and has relatively low gravity, allowing the Arachnisaurs to use their small wings for flight. If you find Arathi Prime, leave a buoy. The Arachnisaurs will be glad to thank you.
[edit] My Race's Standing in the universe
The Arachnisaurs are primarily parastitic and, although they don't need a host, most other-race born Arachnisaurs live longer. Because of this, many races avoid the Arachnisaurs. The race's standing on colonization of inhabited worlds is; get off, and we will give you a similar home. The natives don't accept; a lot of hosts are needed. The Arachnisaurs are still looking for their homeworld, Arathi Prime and are close to finding its solar system.
