[edit] Alphabet
The Arackrabees' writing system can be of two forms: the common one, used by all, and the ceremonial, used in few occasions.
[edit] Common Alphabet
Arackrabees had developed an alphabet based on symbols that represent the main aspects of its lives, its action, environments, among others. The alphabet has many symbols, amongst which they are 54 main symbols. These symbols are of easy recognition for all and, in case of contrary situations, the symbol appear inverted.
They use these symbols to make short phrases, joining all in an only group. In these phrases the symbols go to it superior left corner for it right inferior corner. Case the event has occurred in the past is drawn a wavy line to the left of the symbols and in case that it must occur in the future a wavy line is drawn to the right. If the event occurs in the present no marking is effected.
Amongst the main groups of symbols, listed of the left for the right, they are:
Places:
- Jaspe, Stars, Nootain, Erephrak, Ebarkhara
- Night/Winter, Day/Summer, Swamp, Mountain, Cave
- River, Underground river, Plain, Sky, Land
Elements:
- Humidity, Dry, Ice, Fire
Things:
- Flower, Nectar/Pollen, Fruit, Web, Ertnay, Leaf
- Shield, Weapon, Ovni, Ship, Vehicle
Actions:
- Sleep, Eat, Crawl, Run, Fly
- Play, Teach, Take care of, Plant, Harvest
- Build, Dig, Attack, Defend, Explore
Creatures:
- Egg, Youngling, Cocoon, Queen, Priest
- Soldier, Laborer, Ally, Invader
These aren't all the existing symbols in the alphabet, a time that new symbols go being developed when new things are discovered. Case one determined symbol doesn't exist they can combine the existing ones.
[edit] Ceremonial Alphabet
This alphabet is composed by diverse symbols that can be grouped in accordance with its basic form and with the number of knots that these present. This alphabet is known by the queen and the priest, being mainly used in rituals or to make registrations in ships, flags or rooms spread for the great Ertnay. For being very complicated many arackrabees don't try to learn this alphabet, but they only memorize the meaning of the phrases and expressions represented by it.
To write it, the priest uses only its clamps and none another additional tool. For this, it hangs itself in the wall where it desires to write, for example, and it traces the corresponding letter to the sound of more importance in the center, in prominence. To follow, it traces the other letters around the main letter, in the counter-clockwise direction from top, forming very strange figures.
These symbols are very versatile, being that each one can originate others three, a time that depending on the occasion and the sound that desires to represent, the symbols can be horizontally and vertically inverted. A similar example can be given by letters b, d, p and q. They use dots to indicate the intensity of the secondary sounds, being that more points indicate more intensity of the sound. In similar way, traces are used to indicate the duration of the phrase.
These symbols are only read in rituals and special occasions, as in the parties in homage to its larger star, Jaspe, and in commemorative parties of conquests and important discoveries. To read them, the priest and the queen do a kind of sing. The queen is responsible for singing the main sound, represented for the larger symbol, while that the priest sings the other sounds in sequence. A time that the song isn't extended for much time, arackrabees finishes learning and repeats it some times, when they pass close to such registrations, as signal of respect and admiration for the conquests gotten for its kingdom.

All the colors and forms contained in the flag arackrabee had one meaning. In its elaboration, it was looked to make a representation of simple form of all the important aspects in the life of these creatures. For this, symbols had been congregated that assigned Jaspe, its main star, placed in the center of the flag and with similar form to the symbol of the common alphabet. The tentacles, another characteristic aspect of its race, had been placed soon below of a great eye, emphasizing the search for knowledge.
These tentacles represent the main aspects of the life arackrabee, grouped in accordance with its affinities, being separate for great central tentacle, the correspondent to the union of these elements. Nominating them of the left for the right, they are: the Night, Science, the Soldiers, the Priest, Union, the Queen, the Laborers, Order and the Day.
The chosen colors correspond to each one of the representatives of the society, being that each one occupies a proper role in the flag.
- Pink: the Queen, the base of the flag, without it the cities wouldn't exist.
- Blue: the Priest, the great eye in the center, everything observes and controls.
- Yellow: the Soldiers, linked to representation of Jaspe and to the Priest, represent the main force of defense of the kingdom.
- Green: the Laborers, the main body of the flag, are they who infiltrate for all the areas and activities of the kingdom, assisting in diverse activities and being the main force of work of the kingdom.
Other flags are also confectioned with base in these, being used mainly the colors of the involved elements in these activities. In the activities of scientific research, for example, it's the priest, assisted for the soldiers, who develop such activities and, therefore, the flag loads the colors blue and yellow. In the activities of organization, cares with the younglings and production, are mainly the laborers and the queen, being the flag in the pink and green colors.
These flags are hung by the superior part in twigs, in the walls or rods, being also the main symbol of the presence arackrabee in determined region.

The arackrabees doesn't commemorate this date in Ebarkhara but, for being very friendly and to like to share its customs with other races, also are involved in these celebrations. For not having a tree that resembles a pine they are making some adaptations, using alloys developed by them, as the selvalrg, and flowers and fruits found in the planet. The laborers and even though the Queen help to weave wires for the clothes, in way that new effects can be created. The priest and the queen help in the search for the arackrabee more likeable to exert the function of deliver the gifts. All want to participate, but only one will be able to occupy this role.
In the preparatives for the Christmas are being confectioned diverse accessories, amongst which a new crown for the Queen and new sceptre for the Priest. They are basically the same ones, keeping almost the original form. The crown was converted into a hat, a little pink, to please the queen and the sceptre into a cane, being conserved the attributes that characterize it, such as the stripes and the small sphere of crystal.
Amongst objects used in the decoration, they are the flowers of varchella, that for being very yellow they do a pretty contrast with the of selvarg tree. These flowers are glue in the tree with a mix of wax and the resin of ugampmoss.
Another accessory is the crystals of fruits. These correspond to the defective crystals that can appear during the manufacture of those destined for the lights and vehicles. To don't put these crystals in the garbage they join the defective crystals and do a polishment to turn them into spheres, and later they are hanged on Christmas tree. They are larger than the crystals used in the machines and create a nice effect in the decoration.
A small change in the way of manufacture of these spheres, using a wax mass that melts in some hours in its center, allowed that lesser amount of crystal was used to manufacture each sphere. The weight of these, however, increased a little, a time that now they can mix it with small wax toys, such as miniatures of ships and small dolls. The wax is colored with pigments gotten from flowers, fruits and seeds found in Ebarkhara. These objects are placed in random way in the interior of the balls and, in the Christmas day, the arackrabees will be able to remove from the tree and, when breaking them, gaining these surprise gifts.
Between the gifts created for the Christmas are wax boxes contend colored candies, in the colors green, orange and rose, with assorted flavors that don't depend of the color of the candy. These candies are prepared with fruit juices from Acripolegga, Conicorn, Piarquej and Riallastar. These juices are mixed with nectar, a little of wax, sap and leaves extracts to create a soft consistency and a pleasant flavor to who eat them.
They had also created drinks based in the juice of these fruits mixed with nectar some leaves extracts. These drinks are destined only for adult arackrabees. The drink, called Nectar Drops, is left a time in rest to generate alcoholic composites. It is conditioned in bottles done of sikx and colored in accordance with the flavor of the drink, molded in the form of small drops. Ebarkhara champagne of sweeter flavor is stored in the yellow bottles, while that of the lightly acid flavor and lightly bitter taste is stored in the pink and green bottles, respectively.
The chosen one to assume the role of bring the gifts was one of the members of the Arackrabee army, an old soldier with blue eyes, with the long and white tentacles. Despite the majority of the soldiers had yellow eyes nothing hinders that other colors appear, a time that all they load the responsible genes for the four colors of eyes. They only don't express these characteristics often. Baptism of Arackra Claus, it received clothes done from silk and dyed with fruit juice. Its shield also was substituted by another one, dyed with extracts leaves and flowers.
A tree was constructed with fibres of Selvarg, where the flowers and the balls of gifts had been glue. It also received a candies'silk bag done and a fourx bell. During the next weeks it will be always near to the real hall receiving the young arackrabees and the visitors who visit Ertnay.
