[edit] Early Aenir

BRMS-005 was originally home to the peaceful Aenireans, a saurian race that was very thoughtful and philosophical. Aenir was hit by a cosmic wind, when its magnetic fields were disrupted, causing mutations in masny creatures, giving most of them Osmose, a way to convert solar energy to food, or gather all nutrients from the water. Aenir once had a moon, but it was destroyed, in the Aenir/Diagros War. The orbit for BRMS-005 and BRMS-006 draw very close on the 290th day of the Aenirean year. This day was always called 'The Otherworld'. Then, in BMC 681, the inhabitants of BRMS-006, the Diagrans attacked. (BMC stands for Briar Moss' Civ). The most important events in all of Aenirean history are the Unification, briefly shown below, the Osmose mutation and the Aenirean/Diagran War. The Osmose mutation is in a sequel ballad, which i have lost.

[edit] The Aenirean War

So called because, after entering the civ stage, they realy didn't need to war against each other. Everyone could see it was just death and hatred building up. I actually invented the Aenireans and the Diagrans for an 8th grade english task, and did triple the length we needed in a seventh of the time. BVack in those days, the Aenireans were just my Spores and Diagrans homeworld was Saither. Here's the original, completed ballad.

In a world of rivers and seas, A silent world with oceans of trees. This is a world without fins, feathers or fur, This is a world where nothing can stir.

It has mountains that are hilled And plains that are chilled. Streams that flow And breezes that blow.

Animals so tiny and small That will soon grow, mighty and tall. They will live there evolving While their world keeps revolving.

Until they near their best, When they will fight without rest. With one mind, one will They will ceaselessly kill.

When most of them die The survivors will try To survive the winter frost And rebuild what was lost.

When their numbers are stable, Their knowledge will enable Them to wage greater fights And reach greater heights.

Each claimed their own knowledge complete And thus again, in war did they meet. One voice reached the skies, An all encompassing voice, loud, rich and wise.

“Why are we spores fighting?” “We should be learning, crafting and writing!” All agreed his intelligence was best, “Who else can give this forsaken land rest?”

So they mastered fire They were united with wire And watched the sky with delight As they lit it up with brilliant bursts of light.

Many years passed And one thing did last And it echoed in everyone’s soul; His words and above all: the wise spore’s goal.

Then, one day, from outer space Came invaders from a violent race They shot and burnt every spore they met And after awhile the elders began to fret.

“What can we do?” shouted one. “Weapons are needed!” cried his son. “What we need is an arsenal of lasers. To scourge the land of these heinous invaders.

The study of many years showed They could use light to change genetic code. For awhile they tinkered with titanium To use in a weapon to warp their enemies cranium.

But, alas, they made one fatal mistake, While being set, their traps did break. The explosion wiped the planet clean Not caring if it killed good, evil or mean.

Time changed from night to day Before the thick smoke cleared away Corpses lay sprawled across the ground Once the planet, once again all is silent, none make a sound

Once again a silent place Drifting through a timeless space But, as this world lies all forlorn Another planet is being born.

Surely we cannot fail To see the lesson in this tale We should work to preserve the beauty of this planet That good deed can’t hurt us can it?

[edit] Post-War Aenir

My homeworld, BRMS-003 had an operations base on the planet, so we saw the whole thing, but kept our discipline, not interfereing with other races. So, in memory of the Aenireans, we re-named Aenir or BRMS-005 to The Memoria Field. The field of sterility radiation is still strong as ever. It causes rapin de-evolution and causes hallucinations while you are losing your speech and posture. After that, its down to creature level, dumb creature. Then your atoms disconnect and scatter away.
