Baros is the second planet in the Lachanar Star System.
Despite its small size it has gravity comparable to that of Earth. This is due to the fact that Baros is composed almost entirely from Iron and other metals. Baros orbits its homestar at a mean distance of 342 million kilometers, contributing to the low temeratures of its surface.
The average surface temperature of Baros is so low in fact that liquid water can never exist there. All of the water present is frozen in the polar icecaps and deposited on the high plains of the landmasses.
However, 83% of the surface is instead covered in an ocean of liquid ammonia.
