[edit] Cactus plant

The cactus plant is a tall, black barked tree, that lives throughout the desert of Nitaria. On the end of its branches (which aren't many) There are usually clusters of 1-3 "leaves" that appear to be more like the stem segments of the prickly pear cactus of Earth. In these "leaves" it stores large amounts of water. While average Cactus trees are only about 25 or so feet high, some individuals have been recorded to grow to be over 40 feet tall.

The cactus tree provides water to almost all creatures of the desert, and even largly carnivorous animals such as the krall and Krypton have been observed eating the spiny "leaves" for water
