A stone-like shrub that is very common in the Paku-Kai region on Siel II. The plant has a large grey/green bulb resembling a giant onion, which grows above ground. This bulb tastes mildly spicy and is a major food source for the herbivorous life-forms on the planet. The plant's roots grow from under the bulb and are very thick and hard. Growing out of the bulb are many fat branches that grow yellow-to-orange, tough leaves.

The Carpare has a yellow, larger variety that has adapted to live in the Ruiku-Kai deserts. This subspecies has a harder, thicker bulb, and it's branches are black and covered with venom tipped thorns. This poison has a paralyzing effect that lasts for an hour, and seeing as the region of Ruiku-Kai is very hot, the toxin is used to let the victim waste away for an hour, and in that time, get eaten by a predator.
