An odd mollusc with spike tipped tentacles. They are agressive, territorial creatures.

[edit] Anatomy

A Duchascaw has seven limbs, two legs with powerful feet, and five tentacles. The bottom two are tipped with spikes, the top two have claws for grasping objects, and the middle one is possibly used for mating, and it is spike-tipped as well. One may call the Duchascaw a "heptapus." The feet are covered with small barbs. The barbs severely injure prey when the Duchascaw attacks. A Duchascaw has two compound eyes, giving it incredible vision, and a large bony plate on its face, covering its mouth, which is rarely seen. It is a mystery how the Duchascaw eats, but the plate may be retractable.

[edit] Field Guide

This is a guide on what to do when you see one of these agressive creatures.

  • Flailing tentacles at you - It has spotted you and is trying to drive you off. Run and it may not attack
  • Moving backwards showing off tentacles - It's either trying to impress a female, or it is ready to pounce. If it is doing the former, don't disturb them. If it's the latter, run
  • "Singing" - Trying to impress a female. Don't disturb them
  • Sitting down, biting something - It's eating. Don't disturb it
  • Wrapping its middle tentacle around another Duchascaw - It's mating. Don't disturb them
  • Lying down - It's either sleeping or resting. Leave it be, or it will attack you
  • Sitting down in a nest - It is guarding it's young or eggs. Don't disturb it
