The Eaty Plant is a common parasitic species of flora. It is a carnivorous predatorial plant which hunts and digests small creatures. The Eaty Plant is around 12 inches tall, and weighs about 6 pounds. It sleeps nearly all day to conserve energy, only rousing to hunt, mate or infect a carcass. When a small creature goes past the Eaty Plant, it leaves a scent trail that follows the creature wherever it goes. The Eaty Plant, awoken by the enticing scent, uproots itself and begins to chase down its prey. The Eaty Plant is relentless; it will chase its meal to the very end. However, there is a catch, when the Eaty Plant uproots itself, it has only 2 hours to catch its prey or it will die due to no minerals from the soil(The Eaty Plant needs both meat and minerals).It will have to plant itself somewhere else and wait overnight for minerals to come back into its system. Either that or it dies from hunger because of no meat. The Eaty Plant is a risky one to be, but it has great rewards. If an Eaty Plant stumbles apon a rotting carcass it will infect it, planting its seeds in the corpse via a penetrating tube-like mechanism. This will produce a new generation of Eaty Plants, making the risky life of the parent all worthwhile.
