The Float-Plant is an aquatic shrub that, hence the name, has a floating ball on it's stem. It grows yellow fruit that are attached to long floating vines. The fruits are fairly sour/sweet and very hard.

The Float-Plant's fruits are very hard and fairly sour/sweet. The Clambren, an aquatic race of sapient mollusks, must crack open the hard shells of the fruits with their tough antennae and suck out the sour/sweet inside with a long proboscis. However, if the fruits are picked and left around to long, they turn black and thorny, and become poisonous.
