The Gahjden are a sapient species that lives on the planet Otolene.

[edit] Physiology
With a color range, that goes from turquoise, to cyan, on their lustrous, leathery hide, the Otolenings or Gahjden, how they call themselves now, look like a unsulccessful cross, between a locust, and a frog. The Gahjden have four little short sighted eyes but, their principal sense is echolocation, so they have two melon at head. They have two arms, ending in two fingers and one thumb each. The lower body has two legs ending in two long fingers. The Gahjden are bipedal, with reverse joints, and have a clumsy gait, because of their short legs, and long arms (these sprout from the back). The respiratory system absorbs O2 through fern-like gills. The circulatory system has a cuprum-based pigment that makes the blood dark blue.

The Gahjden have evolved from aquatic scavengers similar to dragonfly nymphs that lived on marshs, that migrated to the plains. Their arms were once mandibles that attached in the head basis, and with evolution the mouthparts evolved to fingers.

The Gahjden language is a series of rhythmic "clicks" created with the tongue. Only a part is audible for non-Gahjden folk because of the frequency that goes from ultrasound to infrasound. Gahjden are not able to pronunciate other sounds (the name "Gahjden" is a Klain tsun language term), so they depend on machines to communicate with other species.

Gahjden folk worship the Chaos. The sacerdots throw dices to decide if they attack or "say hello" to other species; with this, they end up attacking large empires and losing bad.

-- Genesis-- They probably organized as a tribe in the Gwonj continent and moved to the others later. When they reached tribal phase they began with their famous, dice throwing, wicked, chaotic religion. Sacerdots then played a crucial role in the social organization that leaded to wars between the tribes.
-- First Otolene War (FOW)-- After several wars they were unified in the two Ça kingdoms, and the Gwonj one. So they began a war for the unification. After two hundred bloody years, the two kingdoms united themselves and no one won the war.
-- Kleinção Invasion -- After the FOW, the Gahjden were hopeless - their world was in shambles and economy ruined, as was their sacerdotal chaos religion, but they were finally united; but not for much time. At this very time the Klaintsun's UFO landed. Some of the Gajhden praised the new technology brought by the outsiders, some did not. The Gahjden were again heading towards a war. With the passage of the years the Gahjden created their own technology and visited other planets and civilisations with the help of the Kleinção.
-- Second Otolene War (SOW)-- After the FOW, two factions were formed in Otolene; The Pro-Alien (that accepted the Klaintsun intrusion), and the Nationalists (that didn't like the idea). After several tensions the war crashed, with the Nationalist faction winning because of mass advertising.
-- Dice Imperium -- After the SOW, the Nationalists closed connections with the Klaintsun, re-implanted the sacerdotal religion and initiated an expansionism wave towards the other planets.
