[edit] Planets and Inhabitants

We start our virtual tour of the Grogus System at the moon-less planet Fungii. As we descend through the cloudless hot-house atmosphere you'll notice why the world is called Fungii. The whole planet except for a barren cliff- covered spot in the far North East is covered in a pinkygreen tinted fungus. The fungus is the life-line of the Fungii ecosystems.

Everything from the large predatory Fungii Ambusher to the small dimutive Wrinkle Snout. The fungus is the only species of plant left on Fungii ( it is thought there were once strange glowing underwater plants but they died out when the fungus covered the ocean and choked out the sunlight). The fungus grows rapidly whenever need be, ten times faster growing than some earth bamboo.

The Fungus keeps water from evaporating and cools, the would-be nearly boiling sea with the shade it provides. But that is only one upside of the Fungus, another is that it is the only food of the land based herbivores, it even provides methods of transportation by the herbivores like an organic bridge that covers the whole sea. You can find more info on Fungii on a Fungii Terrain article that's in the makes.
