Kratota revolves around a large yellow sun at a distance of about 0.5 AU. It has no moon, but instead there is a large hydrogen gas cloud that surrounds it.

Kratota is a large, hot planet. It only has one ocean, covering a large part of the planet, and there are a number of wide, deep lakes. The planet surface is arranged into a number of archipellagos divided by a web of deep rivers of varying width. Tides move in a very sparatic motion, following areas of denser gas in the cloud. The planet surface is almost completely flat as there is no tectonic movement. Kratota has a solid core. If it was not for the greenhouse effect and it's closeness to the sun, the planet would be too cold to be livable.
[edit] Atmosphere
Hydrogen from the cloud makes up the entirty of its upper atmosphere. However, their lower atmosphere is very different. It existed before the cloud came, back before there was life on the planet. It consists of about 50% Nitrogen, 20% Oxygen and 30% Carbon Dioxide. The planet's heat is increased significantly by the greenhouse effect. The atmosphere remains livable until about 3 km above the ground, where it very abruptly gives way to the hydrogen. The atmosphere causes night to have an eerie redish glow as the light of their bright sun is filtered through the cloud. The cloud also causes very few stars to ever be visable. It is so thick that it can be clearly seen in daylight.
