Rhandies are a species of non-sapient herbivores which inhabit a number of islands located just off the coast of the solitary continent on their homeworld. Tropical fauna, they evolved a strange pinwheel-like device at the tip of their tail that is used to regulate their temperature.

Locomotion: All four legs of a Rhandy splay out to the sides and then down to the large, webbed feet. While they are mostly a terrestrial organism, these webs provide them with a very important aspect of their lives, allowing them to swim in the seas surrounding the islands without much effort.
Environment: The species inhabit the lower areas of many islands off the coast of the planet's supercontinent, which is known as Lhymia. They can and frequently will swim between the islands to graze elsewhere, although these islands are not necessarily all tiny. They prefer grass fields over forests or any other sort of environment, but during the hottest days of the year they can often be found wasting much of their time shading themselves under tropical trees, and during these periods can commonly be found grazing in the local forests.
Diet: The species is herbivorous by nature and necessity, and will not consume meat even if they are starving (which is unlikely to happen as they can simply swim between islands and nearly all islands have floral outcroppings).

Armor: Rhandies do not possess any form of armoring.
Defenses: Their species is one of the island's largest ones, and this prevents most species from being able to consume them by this fact alone. However, they do have some predators - at least one of which has evolved with island gigantism, and they have two major adaptions for dealing with these. First, they often will simply waddle quickly into the shores and paddle out until the creature giving chase gives in, but they also are covered in suction cups on their legs and ventral side. These suction cups are capable of gripping most surfaces very well, and work even better because the Rhandies are usually moist, both from their island lifestyle and from romping about in the surf and swimming between islands.
Weapons: Rhandies are armed simply with their beak, which is built to be capable of cropping plants to feed on them.
Tools: Rhandies are unable to manipulate objects.
