The Needle Fighter is a lightning-fast fighter designed for escorting and air-to-air combat. Homing needle are small explosive needles th size of ones thumb that can track enemy aircraft. They are rapid-fired from a Heavy Needler Gun. The needler gun can also slowly create it's own ammunition by sucking in air and compressing then freezing the contents. This allows Needle Fighters to stay in the air for a bit longer before returning for ammunition. Needle Fighters are often deployed from Heavy Carriers.
