Contrary to its name, this ship has no steel in it whatsoever; however, it is constructed from a titanium-tungsten alloy. This alloy is incredibly heat- and kinetic-resistant. The cruiser inside is honeycomb like structure. This is combined with 6 feet of tungsten-titanium alloy armor,two feet of electric reactive armor, and shield generator.

[edit] Engines and cockpit

Steel class cruisers run off four large plasma engines.The Ixaczan can focus the exhaust from the engines into a very powerful beam weapon. Ixaczan engineers doubled the armor around the engine from eight to sixteen feet and added its very own shield generator. Exactly half of all the weapons on the ship are mounted there. The Ixaczan engineers are also paranoid about cockpits. They consider putting any sort of cockpit on a spaceship dangerous and suicidal.

The Steel class Cruisers continue the Zaiuc Federation and the later U.I.E (United Ixaczan Empire) tradition of intimidating their enemies to avoid fighting. The Ixaczan ship and building architecture consist of gently sloping curves with spikes sticking out form uniform angles, and painted in black and bright red. The Ixaczan use the missile launchers on their cruisers to great effect. These ships easily manged to destroy enemy ships before they even get with in weapon range. This is due in a large part that the Ixaczan missiles are twice as fast, have eight times the range , and dish four time the damage than any other missile system. This proves devastating against the massive hordes of the Ulbacaix Alliance, which the U.I.E fights frequently against. Like all Ixaczan capital ships the Steel class Cruisers have a contingent of TQ-23 gale star fighters and VZ-15 storm bombers. The Steel class Cruisers carries sixteen fighters and eight bombers.
