[edit] Basic Functions

The Taser Squid is a battle submarine that seems to have, most mysteriously, been modeled after an Earthly Nautillus or Ammonite. The Taser Squid is designed to be a swift, deadly underwater unit, used for guerilla warfare. By means of two powerful propellers, the Taser Squid can reach a top speed of thirty knots. In addition, it's "shell" is divided into three sections. If one section is shattered, the crew can move to the next section and seal off the entrance to keep the vessel from flooding. Taser Squid's are not made of Galron Ore, as it is considered too heavy.

[edit] Weaponry

The Taser Squid gets it's name from it's armament. Attacked at the end of each of it's four tentacles are pincer-like weapons. The pincers build up electrical energy, which is then released in arcing bolts of lightning. In a sense, the Taser Squid is like four electric eels stuck together and given armor. Each tentacle can aim at a different target, and the amount of electricty generated by a pincer is controllable. As a result, the Taser Squid is quite versatile, and can take out multiple oponents in one attack.

[edit] Use

At first glance, this might seem like a rather useless vehicle- there is very little water on Vortmexia. And, on Vortmexia, it IS useless. But the Taser Squid was not developed for use on the Vortmexian homeworld, it was designed for off-world use only. By use of teleporters, Vortmexians can send Taser Squids to oceans on other planets, where they can lend aid to underwater allies, or lay siege to aquatic enemies.
