The Zyyo Terraformer is an extremely large structure that was designed by a very appreciated scientist Zyyo called (like the name of the planet) Zyyy Zyrlom Forn (Zeye Zer-lom thorn)
They range from 2-8 Kilometres tall (2000-8000 metres) and from 4-16 Kilometres (4000-16000 metres) Wide/Long.
They have 4 very large ports for spacecraft in the top section and housing for a few hundred to a few thousand Zyyo.

The Zyyo Terraformer essentially does the work of the volcanoes about 1000 faster. The Zyyo will bring gasses to the planet with them and throw them together in the Terraformer. Not always oxygen or gasses like that as sometimes they like to experiment a bit and see If animals will evolve on a methane or hydrogen populated atmosphere. But anyway as well as the gasses they bring they also carefully open up gas pockets under the surface and Introduce It Into the dome speeding up the process as It's pushed up Into what will become the atmoshphere.
A large Dome will actually be able to terraform a planet to livable specifications In about 1 week! A small one can do the Job In a few months or up to a year.

The only problem Is how much It costs to build one of these on a planet far away as they need to ship the Zyyo materials there and build It. Usally they're lucky to get 1-2 small ones on a planet.
[edit] Bio-Dome
After the Terraformer has done It's Job there Is no point or need to take It to pieces, or time or money to the point. And the Zyyo like to preserve nature so thet do what they are best at...Just that...they take the ports out and the other parts and build buildings outside of the dome and maybe tweek the Inside then they convert It Into a Bio-Dome and fill It with either plants and animals from the planet they Just terraformed or from their home world or from another OR all of them mixed together to see what happens, Eg. Cross bred animals and plants.
