Ancillius are creatures present in the final game. They are not good at many things, but they excel at the things that they can do.
They are herbivores, but they can put up a good fight. Their though skins are covered in hard shells, which make it difficult for aggressors to sink their teeth or claws into the Ancillius. If they notice any predators, they will charge, ramming headfirst into the creature. While the other creature is dazed, it will either bite at the creature or run away. The speed of the Ancillius is almost unmatched. Contrary to popular belief, Ancillius aren't exactly the speediest creatures, only able to reach speeds up to 20 miles an hour for only 20 seconds or so. They use their tusks to uproot bushes and small trees, and are able to digest the toughest plant material because of the bacteria that mutually exist in their pharynx.
This species patrols a rather large area-two individuals had an average home range of 289 square meters. It reproduces year round; however, they tend to breed whenever vegetation is plentiful during the rainy seasons. Gestation is just under three years. In order to make up for this, 5-6 young are born and tended to very carefully by the parents to ensue a low mortality rate.
The Ancillius are rather simple creatures, and rather easy to impress in most instances. Their only social talent is singing, but they are masters of melody. Many creatures have been driven out of Ancillius nests by accidentally insulting the beasts with unsatisfactory tunes. Very few other species can match the vocal skills of the Ancillius.
