The Argexantine Warrior Alliance is a federation consisting of mainly Warriors. Membership to the alliance was once strictly restricted to those of Warrior or Warrior-like philosophies, but the alliance slowly became more open to even the peaceful Trader and Diplomat archetypes.

Member States

  • Bibiulor Empire (founding member) - The race who originated the idea of the Alliance, the Bibiulor are very highly respected across the galaxy for this.
  • Volonaw Empire (founding member) - A longtime ally to the Bibiulor and their ally in the formation of the AWA, the Volonaw are also widely respected for being among the first AWA nations.
  • Metedarl Kingdom - A powerful member of AWA that joined early on, the Metedarl gave a great amount of military might to the very young AWA, which helped it convince later potential members that the AWA could be a force to be reckoned with. They remain an important member today.
  • Fred Empire- An unorthodox empire which uses strange war tactics that confuse foreign nations. Even to this day, the other AWA nations cannot decipher the Fred Empire's out-of-the-box strategies.
  • Minor Federation - Another early AWA member, the Minor joined to protect themselves from a war with the Grox early in their space history. Following the Prelude Wars, they established themselves as one of the AWA's strongest footholds in Narusa alongside the Metedarl.
  • Altos Warrior Council - An aged, well-experienced empire that greatly predates the formation of AWA itself. Having joined shortly before the Prelude Wars, the Altos were important to holding ground against the Salazan and Verdo during the war, and afterwards were important contributors to military science and technology.
  • Hawraptor Trade Federation - A native of the central Narusa Cluster, the Hawraptor do not contribute much in the way of weapons or military, but their contributions to the AWA economy and industry are quite imporant.
  • Ploogal Duchy - A large diplomatic kingdom that shared Narusa with the Metedarl, the Ploogal attempted to stay neutral to AWA as long as possible before finally joining during Intergalactic Contact. Their addition indefinitely solidified AWA power over Narusa and also added a valuable large member state with many resources.
  • Talatrim Republic - Located farther north in the Macrea Cluster in the Deteron Sector, the Talatrim served as a foothold in Deteron until AWA expansion managed to connect Macrea to Argexa.
  • Kaprin Trade Federation - A wealthy trading empire in the distant reaches of AWA territories, further north than the Talatrim territories. They are currently serving the same purpose as the Talatrim did: reserving space for AWA to expand.
  • Zimazi Trade Federation - Controlling one of two bottleneck zones connecting Narusa to Argexa (the other being Ixiona, which is shared by the Minor and Bibiulor), the Zimazi are extremely wealthy and affluent among members of both star clusters.
  • Slash Confederacy - A member on the southern border of the Sola Sector, forming the AWA border with the Bunsen Grox and TIAF Coleph Territories. While a militant nation, the Slash are more important economically to the Alliance, routing TIAF and BGR trade routes around the Core Rim or into AWA space.
  • Derodenian Republic - The Derodenian occupy the space between southern Narusa and the Slash territories, and mostly serve to exert the AWA's sovereignty over the Almari Core Rim.

Government

The AWA is a democratic oligarchic republic, where the citizens vote on who will represent them in the government, and those representatives hold the highest authority in the Alliance.

Each representative is elected by citizens residing on planets that belong to the respective species. It is generally preferred that the representative's species matches with the species they are representing. These representatives are seated on what is called the Imperial Consul. The Consul is supervised by the Head Consul, who does not hold any special powers over the rest of the Consul and mostly serves as the representative for the Consul as a whole.

Compared to other Bunsen powers such as the TIAF and GSC, AWA is not nearly as federalized, as the representatives represent their entire member state unlike in the TIAF where divisions based on member state are not nearly as emphasized. This has sometimes led to internal conflict over which member state will be able to lay claim to new territory that doesn't already belong to a different species. Usually, in these cases, members within a reasonable proximity to the new territory are put on a ballot which are voted on in the Consul.

The system at times is susceptible to regionalism and "teaming up", since some species have stronger loyalties to some members than they do other members. While the Consul can very easily stagnate on something that will inevitably invoke partisanship (such as in the territory example above), neutral affairs (which include international diplomacy or civil laws) tend to proceed through the normal debate and revision process like most republican legislatures do.

While only the Consul has the authority to declare war, they have no direct authority over the actions of the military. However, they do have the authority to remove military officials from power if ample reason is given. This is the main protection against coup d'etats, though occasionally cunning Consuls may be able to abuse this power to remove political enemies from positions in the military.

Military

The AWA military is 1 trillion strong, making it one of the largest militaries in the Bunsen Galaxy and quite large for a Tier 3 civilization. AWA, however, is not a very aggressive nation and uses the military mainly for defense, retaliation, and scaring rivals into not attacking. The military is federalized and no division of the military answers specifically to one member state (besides local defensive militia, but those forces are very, very small).

There are considered to be only one major branch of the AWA military, the Great Warrior Guard. The Guard is the entire AWA federal fleet, and functions both as the defense and offensive force of the AWA (unlike the TIAF who divides the military into Assault Armada for invasion and Domestic Defense for defense). The Guard boasts impressive durability and speed, which makes the Guard likely to win in a war of attrition with an equal-strength power.

What does your empire have to say about the AWA?

They have always been reliable and loyal allies. And for that they have our utmost respect.

Trivia

  • AWA is primarily based on Germany and Russia.
  • AWA was the second Bunsen faction introduced and originally had a much larger role, even actively participating in the greater Gigaquadrant at times, but later became demoted to a secondary fiction when CaptainTybusen decided to make the TIAF his primary fiction after more and more Bunsen factions were introduced.
