Since early Fordan history, an organisation known as a 'Council of Blades' has been formed in times of great war. Now, with the looming invasion of the Ayrai'Shikua, the Blademaster of the Fordanta, Hel'Bre'K Ce'So'Va has founded a new council. In line with Fordan tradition, the Council is made up of two tiers of members, and a presiding leader. In divergence with tradition, though, these members are not all Fordanta. Instead, the two tiers of members are in fact other military races in the universe, united by the common need to defend against the Ayrai'Shikua. As is to be expected, the Fordanta take up the presiding role, while four races from their own galaxy make up the first tier: the Empire of Solarus, the Iron Systems Federation, the Serene Trade Republic and The Forgotten.

The second tier is impermanent, members can be added or removed at a whim from the Fordan presiding over the council, and it can have any number. Though this tier is supposedly invitation-only, any space power, may they own a single continent or an entire galaxy, may apply for a seat. It is the role of the presider to sort the worthy from the unworthy, although in such times the luxury of being selective is a rare privilege.

And so, the gates have been opened, so to speak, to any power that would ask for a seat at the council.

Statement of Purpose Edit

The Council exists as a way of binding together the various military powers arrayed against the aggressor (the Xhodocto), so as to ensure mutual cooperation and assistance in the coming conflict. It is the duty of each member (race) of the council to uphold decisions made by the council, however races are free to leave the council should they not wish to proceed with the decided action. Any power worthy of the seat may apply, although those who have left the council before will be held aside from the others, so that new thoughts and new ideas may enter circulation.

Members and Hierarchy Edit

Presiding Member Edit

The Fordanta preside over the council, primarily because it is Fordan tradition upon which the council is founded. They are also presiding due to their natural inclination to hold an unbiased and fair position to any argument, taking in all evidence and pertinent knowledge before making a decision.

First Tier Members Edit

The First Tier is made up of three races of the Ko'Sa'Va galaxy, whom are closely tied to the Fordanta and as such are considered reliable and trustworthy. They are also chosen based on their beliefs: each represents a different facet of war, and the reasons to wage war, and so in conjunction with the Fordanta are able to provide a balanced argument with productive results.

The Iron Systems Federation Edit

The Federation is a race of technosavants occupying the Galactic East of the Ko'Sa'Va galaxy. Firmly entrenched in their beliefs that the rest of the universe must be protected from the uninhibited use of technology, they take up a largely conservative stance, supporting ideas and solutions that are the most simple and effective.

The Empire of Solaris Edit

Often seen as the mirror opposite of the Federation, the Empire is the voice of the gods in the Council. Devout followers of their ancestral sun-god, as well as the more modern Spode, the Solarians speak with the radical voice of the religious zealot, promoting policy that, while it may neither be subtle nor pragmatic, will ensure the goal is reached at any cost.

The Serene Trade Federation Edit

Finally, the often crazed Izirainy of the Republic. Traders and navigators to which few compare, the Republic offers up the utilitarian viewpoint that stems from a genuine wish for all sides to prosper. As such, the Republic lends its financial weight behind any diplomatic or economic solution, which avoids warfare or disadvantage for either party.

Second Tier Members Edit

Composed of various races across the universe, the Second Tier acts as advisors and a knowledge pool, with each representative bringing to light a unique perspective of the situation and proposing fresh ideas for the council to discuss. While the First Tier may be the ones to eventually settle on a decision, the deciding is truly done here, where the initial raw idea is improved, expanded and refined until it is accepted by all, to be submitted to the First Tier for final approval. This last step is merely superficial of course, as by that stage most empires have settled on that course of action whether or not the presider and First Tier accept it.
