The Imperial State of Corvidar is native to the Mirror Universe.

The Imperial State of Corvidar (also known as the Inner-Perseus Province by the Gigaquadrantic Hegemony) is the official state of the Ravon people. Upon formation the Imperial State declared allegiance to the Gigaquadrantic Hegemony in order to retain some at least some individuality rather than being forcibly absorbed by the Plazith Rim Directive.

History[]

Early Beginnings[]

The Ravon species first became spacefaring after reverse engineering a ship of unknown origin (initially believed to be a Hegemony ship, but modern historians are less sure). The Ravons of the time were a very splintered species, and so only a few private Ravon enterprises were able to venture off into space. However, the powerful criminal syndicates within Ravon society managed to take control of interstellar travel. The syndicates began reign of terror on their homeworld by basing their hideouts offworld, so a civilian uprising could not defeat them.

But soon enough, the Ravon Syndicates began to venture further into space and this brought the attention of other species. The Ravons met the Zarni Republic, and began more criminal operations within the Republic. The Zarni military attempted to drive out the Ravons, but they could not identify the origin of the Ravons (which was hidden within a nebula of latinum). Ultimately, the Zarni were forced to request help from Gigaquadrantic Hegemony, who only too wllingly sent a detachment to deal with the Ravons. The syndicates attempted to fight the Hegemony, but found themselves vastly outgunned. The Ravon Syndicates resorted to uniting their forces and becoming a new united state, the Ravon Cabal.

Fight against the Hegemony[]

The Ravon Cabal began a campaign against the Hegemony, but was still vastly outgunned. The Ravon navy was no match to the technologically and numerologically superior fighting forces of the Zarni Republic, the Sentinel Network and the Hegemony itself. For seven months the conflict was fought in a conventional manner, which lead to catastrophic losses for the Cabal.

The Cabal figured out very soon that conventional warfare was not going to do any good for the Ravons.

Zarni War[]

Hegemonic Intervention[]

Once the last remains of the Zarni Republic were either either detroyed or had fled, the Imperial State of Corvidar and the Lequian Nether Union turned to each other. The Imperial State demanded that they recieve all Zarni territory, as hey promised by the Hegemony. The Nether Union however, would not relequish their control on the territory they had taken from the Zarni. Despite attempted peace conferences, the debate continued until relations between the two states deterriorated into open war.

The war was fought in a deadlock for several months. However, the Hegemony had discovered the war between their two subjects, and was infuriated to know that Hegemonic subjects were fighting each other without the expressed approval of the Hegemony high command and without a purpose that directly aids the Hegemony. A Hegemony fleet of reasonable size and power was dispatched to take care of the Ravon and Lequian fighting forces.

After a single confrontation with the Hegemony fleet, the Lequian Union and the Imperial State surrendered, knowing that further resistance would simply result in their nations' destruction assimilation into the Plazim Rim Directive. The Hegemony accepted their surrender and promised the integrity of both states. The Hegemony resolved the conflict of the captured Zarni territory in favour of the Ravons, based on the argument that giving the territory to the Imperial State of Corvidar would make them roughly equal to the Lequian Nether Union in terms of territorial size. The leaders of both states were briefly taken from their posts for a session together in an agony booth as punishment for making Hegemony subjects wage war against other Hegemony subjects.

They have willingly brought themselves to order. However, they are chaotic in mindset. Avoid conflict and my intervention will not be necessary. Surveillance level: high.
