Celestial Energy is the Essence used by the Obvia'Atra. According to the Ravenrii themselves, it involves the manipulation of the 'first light which shone upon the creation of all'. In technical terms, it appears to have been a lesser counterpart to Mystic Energy.
History[]
Celestial Energy's origins are not known to mortals. The Obvia'Atra, believing such knowledge would be detrimental to their image, have never gone into details over it even with other Essentials. However, it is widely believed that Celestial was birthed out of a mix between Mystic and Dream Energy, which led to the foundation of the plane of existence known as Illum Alta and to the emergence of Kkia'Sihm, the godform who would create the Obvia'Atra in her image. Many mortals across reality would associate Illum Alta with a prosperous afterlife (leading it to be widely known as Heaven, as a counterpart to the demonic realm of Inferno), though it did not actually serve as a place for mortals to go after death.
For most of history, the only beings to use Celestial Energy other than the Obvia'Atra were their servant races of the Core Federation at the Tigris Galaxy, due to their belief that their power should not be granted to those not deemed trustworthy. Following the Core Federation's extinction during the War of Ages, the use of Celestial Energy in the First Gigaquadrant decreased dramatically.
Characteristics[]
Celestial Essence is the form of waves of soothing, pleasant and luminous energy often coloured white or gold. It serves as an extension of Kkia'Sihm's being, and it is very much alive and sentient; Celestial Energy only allows itself to be used by those it decides are worthy due to their personal abilities and for following the same moral compass as the Obvia'Atra. Among the types of Essence, Celestial is not considered to be paired with any other Energy, though it is widely used through history to combat Chaotic Essences.
The Obvia'Atra use Celestial Energy as a form of combat, casting upon its power to smite Chaotic Essences with extreme prejudice, as well as material for construction; from the lowest piece of equipment to entire cities, Celestial Energy is freely given shape by the Ravenrii when needed, allowing it to be used for virtually anything they desired. Before the discovery of Dream Energy in the Onuris Universe, Celestial Energy was perhaps the easiest means to achieve an angelic form of Ascension, though as noted, the Obvia'Atra are very picky on those they gift with their energies.
