Summary[]

Episode One.
The future crew begin their new lives on the station, however, there is still work to be done...

Part 1[]

Xigor[]

  • Writer: Wormulon.
  • Character: Xigor.

Long Sleep[]

Xigor, on board his transport woke from a long cryogenic sleep. Despite the DCP's advanced technology, the DCP had yet to advance into hyperspatial travel (not be confused with normal hyperspace). He had crossed several million light years to the Tigris Galaxies DCP Dimensional Gate, which allows travel to the far off Galaxon galaxy, on the edge of explored space, space exploration, still a very important factor. The journey had better be well worth the while... In his long sleep, he had many dreams, very surreal, almost predicting the future. But he was a scientist, he had to think rationally. Cyogenic sleep was important, certain phenomena this far into subspace levels, the "bulk" between universes, could send a concious being mad. As he began to wake, he could hear a soft whirring sound as the machine "defrosted him", the first rays of artificial light enter his eyes, down through his ocular stalks, into his brain. His numb body soon began to sense heat and touch. However, he felt groggy.

But soon, automatically, his shuttle dropped into the universe, and the station, glinting in the sun's light, came into view, a green blue and golden star. It split into two, as it exists as a pair, Halcyon 1 and 2. Soon features could be seen. As he arrived at the docking bay, his ship was scanned and instantly recognised. Tractor beams pulled him through, where he was greeted by several officials, who proceeded to direct him around the massive station, still undergoing construction. He was advised to stay away from some decks, which still had no life support.

First assigment[]

Xigor looks out against the almost surreal backdrop that lies before him.

The Grimbolsaurians work efficiently, and as soon as Xigor had unpacked into his new home apartment, he didn't give himself much time for settling down. However, he had not eaten for a long time, and hungry Grimbolsaurians are not happy ones. He decided to walk down through the station, and into the O'Niel cylinder itself. As he stood over a tall wall, he looked down below and could see miles of land, divided into various sections. In a guidebook he had been supplied with, Vito's bar sounded like it might the right place. More of a bar, it still served food. Xigor had a dislike for replicated food, and preffered it grown.

After some refreshment, he travelled to the Department of Scientific Research, an important part of the ship. Apparently, there were some problems with environmental control in decks C5 to D6. These were caused by glitches in the computer systems, which were being effected by something unknown, he would have to use his knowledge to find out. Luckily it was nothing too bad and he decided to retreat to his quaters.

Whisky[]

It was 4:49 AM (DCP time) and Xigor was having difficulty adapting. He was used to true days and nights, and although day and night cycles were simulated, he could not escape the artificial feel. Strange, since the Station rotated in a very low G, almost unoticible. As he was just about to fall asleep, he recieved a subspace holotransmission, live and apparently important. Xigor switched it on. And there standing in front of him, was his old rival, Ml.Sevondroy, an irriatating and self important Jarzo, who had been is bitter rival. He had dared to wake him on this hour. "The swine", he thought. But Sevondroy smiled at him, sarcastically. "How had you managed to get in contact?" Xigor demanded. The virtal Sevondroy stood close to his face, smiled again... "Your girlfriend did", by now, Xigor felt his blood pumping, and was tempted to strike out at the Jarzo, to snap his holographic neck. "That will teach him to trifle with a Grimbolsaurian" he thought. But instead, Sevondroy produced two flasks in which he poured some whisky simulation. Due to the advanced replicator technology, the hologram turned into a replicated whisky-sim transported from the replication machine. The device was very clever, enabling either side of the transmission to enjoy the same food or drink. But Xigor barely drank his. Ml.Sevondroy was jealous of Xigor, but was subtle in his message. Finally, Sevondroy said "enjoy your new life and new home, but I'll be there behind your back." Then the holotransmission closed. Angry, Xigor thrashed the air where the hologram was, but then he remembered, Ml.Sevondroy was seperated by millions of light years.

Two more sleepless nights later, Xigor decided he would visit the stations's chief counciler...

Tazch'xatri[]

  • Writer: The Randomness
  • Character: Tazch'xatri

Hidden Objectives[]

A Salsetthe Cruiser disengaged its quantum slipstream drive and docked with the new Station Halcyon, which Salsetthe Intelligence referred to as Project 9147a in its closest approximation in English. A single figure walked into the docking ring, and paused briefly, analysing the inside of the station, before moving on. The individual was Tazch'xatri, who was going to be the chief of security for the station. After walking a short distance to his office, Tazch'xatri activated the small computer that was in the room, attached a small device to it, and contacted Salsetthe Intelligence. After a couple minutes, the conversation ended.

Avexia[]

  • Writer: Irskaad
  • Character: Diplomat Trainee Avexia

Arrival[]

"Now, go west into the Galaxon Galaxy. Once you're there, use your locators to find Station Halcyon. And don't worry, we'll be fine, the Xhoddie invasion may have hurt us, but we're still ok." Said Diplomacy Teacher Taxia to DT Avexia. Avexia says she found the station, and is now preparing to enter it. Only problem - she doesn't know how to land a ship. Her teacher gave her the instructions, and she succeeds in landing the ship, though she did it horizontally and not vertically. "So this is Station Halcyon... Where's the crew? I want to see them. I think their empires might help us with the Xhoddies..." said Avexia upon arrival.

As she was looking for crew nembers to talk to, she noticed 3 muggers, who were threatening her, and she said "Hello! I am from the Asgord Empire, want to be my friends?" They threatened her, but she chuckled at all of their threats, as she thought they were kidding. When one mugger drew a knife from his pocket, Ri'Kar'D went into action, eventually wounding one of the muggers, thus, they ran off. Avexia was very confused.

"What just happened, where did they go?" Said Avexia in confusion, until Ri'Kar'D appeared. She asked where did they go, and he then gave her a Locator beacon, so if they came back, she could call Ri'Kar'D, since "he wanted to befriend him too." She then called Taxia, her teacher. "What species is he from?" Taxia replied: "He is a Fordanta, an ally of the Iteok. if you see him again, ask him for help with our invasions." Avexia replied ok, and tried to find someone who could help her find where she would stay...

Ri'Kar'D[]

  • Writer: Spriggs077
  • Character: Ri'So'Va Commander Ri'Kar'D

New Sheriff in Town[]

"Ri'Kar'D," on of the Grand Councillors began, "You and your kin have been requested to help guard Station Halcyon in the Galaxon Galaxy. As a defender of order, it is your duty to comply." Ri'Kar'D thought for a moment, before kneeling. "It will be as you command. My Kin-group will make final preparations and then depart." Ri'Kar'D knew that his men were already prepared to depart, so when he stood he activated his radio. "My Kin, the time is now. Commence phasing sequence." Within moments of his order being given, an azure ball of light formed around Ri'Kar'D, as his Void Key dematerialized his body and transported it to Station Halcyon. Upon his arrival, the first sign of life was the Asgord trainee Avexia. Ri'Kar'D quickly accessed his helmet-computer's database for information about the Asgord. The first thing that came up was Ally Crazy.

One quick look at Avexia proved that. She was trying to befriend three workers who were mugging her. Ri'Kar'D watched in amusement as Avexia tried to sweet-talk the three, while they threatened to punch her. Eventually, the leader got bored, and drew a knife. In that moment, Ri'Kar'D made his decision. The air shimmered as he activated his stealth field. The crewman with the knife made to lunge at Avexia, but his hand was caught in mid-air. Looking around for what had held him up, he froze as Ri'Kar'D materialised in front of him, a huge taloned hand wrapped tightly around the crewman's wrist. A deft flick, and Ri'Kar'D sent the mugger flying a few metres back, while he primed his pulse pistol. That was all the warning the other two needed, who ran off, picking up their wounded friend and vanishing from sight.

Avexia was confused by all this, since her three new 'friends' had run off, replaced by a much taller, more serious looking 'friend.' When she asked Ri'Kar'D about the three, he gave her a locator beacon and told her that if the three friends came back, she should call him immediately, since he 'wanted to be their friends too.' Avexia didn't understand the hidden meaning of this, so she skipped off happily, while Ri'Kar'D summoned his men to him. He ordered them to scout the area, while he followed a map in his helmet computer to the Fordanta's habitat.

Vito[]

  • Writer: Lucario of the Gods
  • Character: Vito Nelph

Shots[]

"Vito Nelph" poured a glass of red alcohol into a glass. Vito has been working at Station Halycon for a year now, working as the main bar owner. Vito has had no trouble in this bar for the time he was here. Until now, when three shady-looking guys walked into his bar. They were all muttering and grunting, the way gangsters usually do to Vito. The three walked up to Vito. "Hey, shorty." called one of the guys. Vito only glanced at the characters. "I said, hey shorty." said the guy again. Vito then turned to them. "Look, I don't want no trouble. If you call me by my real name, I'd be happy to serve you..." but Vito stopped his sentence when one of them got out a knife. The three guys chuckled. "...a drink." sighed Vito. "We don't want a drink, shorty. We want your dough." said the guy. Vito looked down and chuckled. He then looked up at the guys.

At that moment, Vito grabbed a bottle of dark blue liquid and smashed it against his counter. The glass bottle smashed, spilling the contents. Vito was using the broken glass as a weapon. "Sling your hook, matie, before I trounce ya." threatened Vito. The guy carrying the knife laughed and took a lunge at Vito. However, Vito stepped to the side and grabbed the guy's arm. He jerked it towards him, with the guy's face being in range of Vito's bottle. The guy was stunned as he saw the shining sharp edges of the broken bottle. "Now get outta my pub!" exclaimed Vito, letting go of the guy's arm. The three guys took a few steps back, watching Vito carefully. Vito then placed the bottle in a bin and took out a sharp knife. The three guys turned and ran outside. Vito used the knife to cut a rectangular piece of ice.

Vito sighed as he saw several security guards enter the pub. "Security guards..." said Vito sadly "...they never arrive when you want them to." Vito then placed the chopped ice into a liquidiser, turning it into a cold drink. He placed the drink on the counter before taking another sip out of his glass. The security guards came up to Vito. "Excuse me, did you see where..." but the security guard was cut short. "They're not here." said Vito. The guards walked away. Vito sighed again before swallowing the contents of his glass and began taking orders again.

Part 2[]

Counciling[]

Xigor goes off to meet H'lera to help settle the problem of his sleeping pattern.

Geroniel[]

  • Writer:Imperios
  • Character:Geroniel

A ship was leaving an orbit! Freedom! Geroniel was happy like never before. At least she is free of Radeon society. From its religion, its totalitarian goverment, its stupid traditions. She looked at herself at mirror. She has seen her face, unmasked - after three years, she is once more free.

She was in wormhole, leading to her new home, station Halcyon. She stepped on metallic floor of the spaceport and was amazed. After grim, gothic streets of Aranexi this peaceful city landscape was perfect for her. Here she will certainly find a new home.

She has clothed in her lab coat and googles and asked a commander on the docks.

- I am Geroniel, I am from... em... nevermind. This is my passport, so, em, I am engineer, and can work well with everything.

Groniel sighed. She hoped commander will not notice a fake passport, it seems he did not...

- Pass. We need someone like you.

Geroniel passed with a relief. Old life is no more, she is now free. She hoped Dei'Ar will not notice that she fled Theocracy...

Katarina[]

  • Writer: CaptainTybusen
  • Character: Katarina

Business As Usual[]

Finally, she would get the attention she deserved. Katarina had been put of charge of the TIAF crew assigned to Station Halcyon. "Finally," she said to herself. "Finally I will be doing good for the universe." Today was the day they could finally start operating. She looked out at the great city before her. Today was a new day.

The day went on with very little activity. There mostly cases of residents not knowing how the station worked. As the day dragged on, Katarina was getting very bored. She wanted something exciting. She was not about to waste her life here telling people how to use their air conditioning systems. She sneaked out of the maintenance headquarters to Vito's bar. She ordered two shots of wine and a plate of fish. She kicked back and relaxed. She had escaped the boring life in the maintenance department. Finally, she returned. She saw the office was overflowing with many angry citizens demanding repairs.

One of the workers, Alex, approached her and asked her, "Where the heck have you been? We've got a major pipe failure and they're furious!"

Katarina said, "Decided I was tired of the boring everyday stuff. So, is it like a rupture or something? I'm sure the crew could fix it."

He replied, "It's not just any old rupture. It was a major underground pipe burst and now the water's been flooding in from the industrial canals. We need a real good engineer to fix it up."

"Major pipe failure? Sounds like a job for me."

"Alright! Let's go!"

Katarina and Alex both came to the site of the pipe failure. There was a giant hole in the side of the pipe. She got to work right away, and in no time, the pipe was all fixed up and ready to be used again. The citizens cheered and celebrated.

"Just business as usual," Katarina said.

Ri'Kar'D[]

  • Character: Ri'Kar'D

Meet and Greet[]

Ri'Kar'D had been on the station for a few hours now, patrolling with a few of his Fordanta to make sure the station was more or less safe. He was able to share a laugh with a couple of Grimbolaurian guards when some young thug tried to pull a knife on him. Ri'Kar'D, the two Grimbolsaurians and the five Fordanta he had with him all drew pistols and rifles, and the thug ran off. After a while, Ri'Kar'D handed over to his second-in-command, and started to access the station's information logs. First, he accessed the information on Vito's, and found out it was the largest social hub on the station. So, Ri'Kar'D headed off to find out what all the hype was about.

As he walked in, the room fell to silence. After all, Ri'Kar'D stood at an impressive 9'11", and had to duck slightly just to fit through the door. He sat down at a the bar, and although the music was playing no-one was making a sound, no-one was moving. Ri'Kar'D was about to flick on his translator when one of the Grimbolsaurians he'd met spoke up: "What are you doing scaring all these guys Ricky?"

Ri'Kar'D groaned at the severe mispronunciation of his name, but it seemed to relax the crowd who went back to their drinks and conversations. Ri'Kar'D nodded to the Grimbolsaurian, and then turned to the bar's owner, Vito Nelph. He made a quick 'V' gesture, implying that he wanted five drinks. Vito looked at him strangely, and then realised that with Ri'Kar'D's bulk it would take a lot of anything to have an effect. So, Vito poured the drinks and started talking.

Ri'Kar'D was up to his third shot when the three gangsters he met on the landing dock strutted in, followed by a bunch of their buddies. They hesitated a moment when they saw Ri'Kar'D sitting at the table, but were emboldened by the presence of their friends. Then one of the thugs picked up a chair and threw it at Ri'Kar'D. They'd come for payback. Sighing, Ri'Kar'D flicked on his helmet's amplifier, and roared. Normally, a Fordan can out-roar an epic, but with the amplifiers in action, Ri'Kar'D's shout became a concentrated beam of sound that struck the group like a sledgehammer. They all fell back, their auditory systems reeling from the shock. It'd be a month before they could hear a shout, but Ri'Kar'D didn't think about it as he went back to his drinks. The people around him started clapping, but Ri'Kar'D just sat hunched over the last two shots. He didn't come here for applause, he came to protect.

Avexia[]

  • Writer: Irskaad
  • Character: DT Avexia

Lost, sorta[]

Avexia saw the station open before her eyes, but there was one problem - Where would she stay? She asked her teacher.

Taxia - "Yes?"
Avexia - "Umm, where do i go? I am lost, I don't know where to stay, I hope this isn't bad at all for my final grade..."
Taxia - "Not at all! This is a new station, we know almost nothing about it. But there is a city Ring, where perhaps you can stay. Oh, and I have terrible news. Ka'an was destroyed by Xhoddies. We re-located to Kes'kaata."
Avexia - "My family was in there... but what can we do? At least I live in Hateos."
Taxia - "You'll have to move then."
Avexia - "Why?"
Taxia - "Because our empire split up into 2, and Hateos is the capital of the Federal Khereg of the Asgord. If you go there, your studies here end, as you won't be able to return to this Empire, The Friendly Republic of the Asgord."
Avexia - "What about my stuff?"
Taxia - "Contact the moving specialists. Now, are you sure you can handle this?"
Avexia - "Sure, count on me!"

Avexia now ran to the City Ring, where she will stay, but this Training requires her to talk and impress aliens with her culture - She will help them with anything. She wants the highest grade in her class, it's her time to do so.

Vito[]

  • Writer: Lucario of the Gods
  • Character: Vito Nelph

Warning[]

Vito has just witnessed the bar brawl involving Ri'Kar'D. Vito would accept no trouble in his bar. He walked over to Ri'Kar'D. "You, sir, are to follow the rules of my pub. You perform a stunt like that again and you are out. You got that?" warned Vito. Ri'Kar'D turned to Vito. "I was doing what was right. It is not your place to tell me what your rules are, as I have a full list of them." he explained. Vito grunted. "I know your place in security. You should've sorted out the problem earlier." exclaimed Vito. Ri'Kar'D was getting stressed. "Curb your tongue, before something is said that you will later regret. Anyway, what species are you? It's required information, yet your biography doesn't list it." said Ri'Kar'D.

There was a long silence. People were shocked by the arguement. They thought that both of the guys were brave to argue with each other. "It is none of your business, Fordan." answered Vito. Vito turned and walked away in silence. Tension has built up inside the pub, so one of the waiters turned on the radio, where a famous song, "Calm Down, Tyraz" by a popular group known as the Band of Ages, was being played.

Part 3 - Ending[]

Shanna Valerrie, Captain Shanna Valerrie was a female Libertus, as she had been called was now the captain of the station, which had just opened today. Already, there was trouble, she would make sure there was be none of it. It was time to make the official opening ceremoney. Everyboard aboard the station, now nearly 10,000, except for some maintence workers and security, stood and watched. In the center of the station, there was a region of zero gravity, where glowing clouds of plasma and fireworks lit up to create a dancing central column of light. The station opened and she delivered her speech, to the cheers of the crowd. There was also a vote, since the stations A and B were large enough to simulate climate, seasons and weather, on which season the station should be opened with. 60% voted Spring, and soon the station's climate changed accordingly to the amazement of most. The station was set to the Galactic Standard, what most carbon-based life was cmfortable with. However more extreme xeno's will have to live in the arcologies, with special environments, such as the aquatic Lequian subspecies.

Her new room for the next 3 weeks[]

Avexia was chosen an apartment in the City ring, it had everything an asgordian needed - A TV, a nice bed, a Good Computer, a Kitchen, and many other things Avexia liked. Her floating camera was beside her, capturing everything for Avexia's Teacher. Avexia then started reading her Creature catalog from 401 KRE.

Fordanta: A Nice, strong ally of the Iteok. Not good for petting. They use a complex language and are stronger than 1000 Iteok Combined.

"Wow, they could help us with our troubles..."

Grimbolsaurian: A Cute ally of the Asgord. Very advanced. They may be cruel to some, but they are nice overall.

"I have to meet one someday..."

Bearian: A Really cute ally of the Kraw. They are good for petting. They are small, but very strong. They helped Kies in defeating "Ija Rolk".

"I thought it was "Ijja Rokl"..."

And so she slept, awaiting a new day. Tommorow, she will start talking to beings.
