Needle Buzzy is a Level 4 Maxis-made cell featured in the Cell Stage. Its electric power recharges twice as fast as its relative, Buzzy.
It is a small yellow cell with a small spike-mouth, three electric bulbs, four tentacles and a single eye.
It is nearly impossible to kill without taking damage unless you have the Poison (for running assaults) or Electric (for electricity immunity) parts.
Needle Buzzy is one of the cells with the secret cell editor parts. You can see the smaller Electric part is slightly different from normal ones. Their tentacles are also not symmetrical (they work symmetrically in the editor, but move in opposite directions in-game, unlike normal tentacles).

- Spike (although a cell will most likely have the spike unlocked by the time they reach Needle Buzzy)
- Electric (although it is easier to obtain it from Buzzy)

- Needle Buzzy was originally called "Alpha-Buzzy" in the beta version of Spore.
- Needle Buzzy originally had a slightly different design before it was given its final 2008 design.
