Oog is a Maxis-made cell, present in the game. It is one of the cells that the player may control if the Herbivore diet is chosen.
It is a round yellow cell with a Filter Mouth, Beady Eyes, and a single Flagella.

- Oog's name is similar to Noog, another playable cell.
- Oog might be an early version of an Oogie.
- Oog appears to be the default cell; if a player's cell game gets glitched and the avatar cell is deleted, the game defaults the cell to Oog. Also, if one changes Spore's shortcut target to include "-state:cellgame", they will always start the cell stage as an Oog.
