A Relation Face, or Mood Face is the result of Relation bonuses. There are five basic faces, although there are three exceptions.

Standard FacesEdit

Green Face (Allied)Edit

Green face

When a creature, tribe, nation, or empire is at this relation with the player's creature, tribe, nation, or empire, they will start to worship the player, bringing the player gifts, helping the player in battles, joining the player's pack, or even creating a full Alliance with the player's species, tribe, nation, or empire. To do this:

Creature Stage
A creature must use Social Parts to impress a creature.
Tribal Stage
A tribe must bring gifts and play music to the tribe.
Civilization & Space Stages
A nation must fight the other nation's enemies and give gifts, and an empire must give gifts, do missions, use a Happy Ray, create an embassy, and more which can be found on the Relation bonus Page.

Appears in the rating system on the online Sporepedia as "Flourishing Species".

Blue Face (Friendly)Edit

Blue face

When a creature, tribe, nation, or empire is at this relation with the player's creature, tribe, nation, or empire, they will become friendly, and will give the player a Right of Passage to their territory. When this happens, they will let the player pass without harm, will not attack the player's tribe or nation, lower their costs of attacking other nations, and empires will give the option to start a Trade route, and will appear kinder, and lower their prices of recharge and repair. Appears in the rating system on the online Sporepedia as "Prosperous Species".

Yellow Face (Neutral)Edit

Yellow face

When a creature, tribe, nation, or empire is at this relation with the player's creature, tribe, nation, or empire, they will become neutral, and this level is default, usually. Anything that has this relation with the player's creature, tribe, nation, or empire will give them fair rights, but rights that contribute to alliances. They will not send the player gifts, and they won't always give a Right of Passage. An empire will decline a Trade route request. The recharge and repair costs are normal. They will not attack you if you tresspass. Warrior and Zealot empires will occasionally ask for money. All archetypes besides Traders, Diplomats and Wanderers start out with this relationship. Appears in the rating system on the online Sporepedia as "Average Species".

Orange Face (Annoyed)Edit

Orange face

When a creature, tribe, nation, or empire is at this relation with the player's creature, tribe, nation, or empire, they will be annoyed with the player's creature, tribe, nation, or empire. They will sometimes attack the player's creature when passing, and occasionally steal the player's food and blow raspberries at the player's tribesmen or insult them if they are a tribe. A nation or empire will demand money from the player, and sometimes attack the player's nation or empire. If they are space-faring, they will fire at the player's Spaceship when passing. Appears in the rating system on the online Sporepedia as "Declining Species".

Red Face (Furious)Edit

Red face

When a creature, tribe, nation, or empire is at this relation with the player's creature, tribe, nation, or empire, they will become angry and start a war. They will often attack the player's tribe, nation, or empire, and will not stop until a gift is given or a treaty signed. Empires and nations will go out of their way to attack the player's vehicles and spaceship. When space-faring, this often ends up in a war. In Creature Stage, the player can find a pack of three creatures without a nest at this relation level, all with 15 HP each, 19 max for the Alpha. There are also various hostile nests, especially towards the end of the Creature Stage. The creatures in these nests often have high combat stats and are always either carnivores or omnivores. Appears in the rating system on the online Sporepedia as "Endangered Species".

Other FacesEdit

Yellow Face with Question Mark (Curious)Edit

CuriousRelation

When a creature is at this level with the player's creature, they will want to interact and socialize with the player's creature, and it is often the first step towards creature-creature alliances. It will often evolve into a polite face, and will often tilt their heads, and walk around your creature.

Orange Face with Exclamation Mark (Scared)Edit

Face threatened

When the player's creature attacks a rival creature nest, the creatures that live in that nest will be shocked and will flee from the player's creature. The creature will remain shocked until one of their babies or more of their species are killed, or the player befriends one of their species. Furious creatures won't be shocked, and annoyed creatures will only be shocked if their Alpha is killed.

Pink Face with Hearts (Lovestruck)Edit

LoveRelation

There is usually one creature at the player's nest who follows the player's creature around with hearts floating around its face, wishing to mate. These creatures will continue to do this even in attacks instead of helping defending the nest or joining your pack. However, it is actually possible to add a lovestruck creature to your pack: Click on the creature, then quickly click a socializing button before the mating cutscene starts.

Orange Face with Teardrop (Sadness)Edit

Face sadness

In Civilization Stage, when a city has low happiness, the citizens begin to riot, doing things such as going on strike, or throwing things at the city hall. When zooming in on citizens on strike, one can see that they are holding signs of an orange face with its eyes closed with an orange teardrop. The same sign also appears above the city when zoomed out.
