Right, I am providing proof as to why it is an ice planet.

  1. The name "Cryos" comes from the word Cryo, meaning cold.
  2. It is implied to be a prison, so an icy planet would be some sort of death row for criminals.
  3. Zrin was dying on the planet, meaning that it is very cold. Also, he melted his cell, implying it is made of ice.
  4. It is stupid to think that a planet with all these clues could be hot.

Yes, I agree. The reasoning for it being a hot planet - that Zrin comes from there - isn't good reasoning at all, because he's being imprisoned there; it's not his homeworld. Of course, there are other possibilities for those points you've made (Zrin could have melted a metal cell; he might have been dying because prioners are basically neglected and left to die; a boiling planet would also be a harsh environment for prioners; and whoever named the planet "Cryos" might have had a sense of irony). But Cryos being cold is far more likely, and I think most prison planets in sci-fi are ice worlds and the Spore games seem to be all about filling themselves with sci-fi tropes and references. Spriggs077 Correct me if I'm wrong here, but didn't Zrin only become the magma thing AFTER the E-DNA was used on him? So Cryos could in fact be his homeworld but it's a long-shot. People probably assume it's his homeworld because it is the planet he is introduced in.

Lucario is right in that the cell could have easily been made of metal, and Zrin was dying because his captors had become mutated and were no longer managing the prison.

Honestly, why don't we just change the page? It's only a speculation page at this time, so let's present the most reasonable guess. Accurate details can come later once Darkspore is actually released.

Other than that you confused me with Luc, yes, you're completely right. :P GirdoPic Ghelae - (talk) 09:12, August 13, 2010 (UTC)

I think it could be a hot planet, the planet Hoth (hot) from star wars is arctic even at the equator!Of course, it could still be a cold planet, or just a normal planet. We'll se in february 2011.High shaman of the twin gods Nanje 19:00, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

I did too... Sorry bout that. Spriggs077 21:03, August 14, 2010 (UTC)

Ice planet would seem the place for a prison, yes. Zrin's power would be enough to melt a metal cell. If this is Zrin's homeworld, his lava like form could mean that it is a cold planet, but as whatshisname said, he probably became a lava guy after the Crogenitors diddled with his DNA. Cryos in GA[]

Cryos world is the undeniable proof of Maxis using the same engine that GA, and some things didn't changed at all. Cryos can be created on GA using just the image shown in the article, here are some facts about Cryos:

  • Cryos wind resembles a lot to the GA effect of wind wrist, as well as mineral like rocks, objects can be copied on the building creator and the only thing they changed is upgrade the map's quality.

It looks awesome, and the best thing is that we can recreate a Cryos template on GA. ~ talk) VofValar 16:39, August 21, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, the planet cannot be entirely copied, as one can clearly see a bridge of land, which cannot be made in GA. Regardless, I request that no one try this out, as a team of Spore users that I have recruited are making a Darkspore series. ShadowRaptor101 22:46, August 25, 2010 (UTC)
