I have an image of the flora editor with a red plant. Go check the page out.--Radu1000 (talk) 11:16, December 9, 2012 (UTC)radu1000Radu1000 (talk) 11:16, December 9, 2012 (UTC)-- Why hasn't anyone gotten the one screen he showed of the plant editor? You could put it up in the corner there, or the top... make the page look all snazzy. 70.69.215.188 14:55, 21 May 2006 (PDT)

Lots of other stuff, if you could take a screen yourself and upload it, it would be a lot of help. :) -- Mason11987 (Talk - Contributions) 15:56, 21 May 2006 (PDT)
Alrighty then. I registered. I'm very new to this stuff; most I've ever done is correct some spelling or grammar. I can upload but I suppose I'll leave it up to someone who knows their stuff to somehow add it to the page.
Just one question before I do.. does it matter how big (filesize and resolution) it should be? I can get it to about a 1152x 864 250kb JPG and have it look pretty much exactly as it should.
If all goes well, I can get you others too (hut editor, vehicle editor, building editor, all from the most recent 20 minute video). Gauphastus 17:56, 21 May 2006 (PDT)
As big as you like, I would suggest. The software can scale it down for us. Thanks a lot. --Daxx (T C) 18:03, 21 May 2006 (PDT)
Alright. It's under Other Images since there doesn't appear to be a category for the Plant Editor. It is a full featured editor so I suggest making one for it, and the others I mentioned. Gauphastus 18:17, 21 May 2006 (PDT)
I have added the image to the article. Hopefully someone else can get around to creating an editor pictures category. --Daxx (T C) 19:04, 21 May 2006 (PDT) (edit:changed my sig so it has non-breaking spaces)

Forgot to type a summary when I edited the page just now. Changed a few sentences around a little, and improved on sentence structure. Also, I am now aware of the minor edit button; I'll be sure to use it. Gauphastus 19:56, 21 May 2006 (PDT)

Plant vs. flora[]

The E3 2006 demonstration program calls the plant editor "flora editor", so we can probably expect it to have that name in the game as well. But I guess both names give an equally good description of what the editor does.

-- Andreas Blixt 05:30, 22 May 2006 (PDT)

No real preference either way, if maybe a slight one for Flora if it was used in the presentation. --Daxx (T C) 05:52, 22 May 2006 (PDT)

what now[]

As this is not in the release version what should we do with the page? and how do i get

sporeApp.exe -state:FloraEditor

to work? (\__/) (='.'=) This is (")_(") Bunny. copy and paste this to your signature to help him gain world domination. 00:08, 14 September 2008 (UTC)

If you right click on your Spore shortcut and then choose properties, there is a "Target:" field, which says something along the lines of "X:\blahblah\SPORE\Sporebin\SporeApp.exe -locale:en-us". If you add -state:FloraEditor to the end of that, then the game will automatically start up in the flora editor. Be warned, though, it's VERY glitchy, and you can't save. Also, don't zoom out too far or it may crash. 98.223.56.77 18:24, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

How do I do that on a Mac? I'm anxious to try out the flora editor, but I don't have a PC. 76.191.199.100 23:46, 17 October 2008 (UTC)

For those who can't do the "sporeApp.exe -state:FloraEditor" trick, there's a different way to access the editor. Enter any editor from the "Create" menu, switch out of fullscreen mode (press Command-Return), then drag in any plant's PNG image (like this one). You should get into the plant editor. 143.254.215.94 18:34, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

I still haven't found a way to access the extended cell editor on a Mac, though... Anybody know how? 143.254.214.249 18:34, 10 November 2008 (UTC)

to access these hidden mac creators, right or command click the spore icon in finder click show pacage contents and go the way u would go for mac mod installation but go to windows and from there the sporeapp.exe is in there somewhere and at the end put -state: WaterCreatureEditor -state: HutEditor -state: ToolEditor etc.

NOTE: I have not tried this. If ur feeling adventurous u can try it and if it messes up your game try removing it before spamming me. There are YouTube vids on how to do this, too. -noxexistant- 00:40, April 8, 2010 (UTC)-noxexistant- 19:36 (army time) 04/07/2010

Space adventures[]

this will probably be released in the space e3xpansion pack Grendle2 07:53, 30 November 2008 (UTC)

Unfortunately not it seems. Wormulon 19:33, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Sporepedia Card[]

I made a flora using the editor and saved it but the sporepedia card is doing funny things. First, the non-close up is just a pot. No plant inside it, just the pot thing. It had stuff on it when I saved it- I don't know why it did that. Next, when I click on details, spore crashes. Don't know why it does this. Help? How did the image creator get it to do that? Help![]

I've saved two creations with the Flora Editor, but I think they may be crashing my game. I've tried deleting them, but they keep coming back. Does anyone know how to fix this?71.120.42.89 01:02, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

I use the SporeEditor Hack V2 By RamonZ to access the Flora Editor, and the program allows me to save any plant that I want. The Sporepedia cards look funny,it usually has a big black patch or the shadow of my plant, but when I see details nothing happens,it goes fine,I see the plant in it's pot swaying in the wind. Also,I can find these plants in my games, and even eat fruit from them, and nothing strange happens,no crashing or glitches at all, although the plants are always partially invisible or floating, but it's fine. Anyway, download the Spore Editor Hack program V2 by RamonZ on SporeBase, you can have some real fun with it,it gives you complete freedom in all the editors. Furby98 20:17, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

So that's not the problem? That's how I saved them, too.71.120.42.89 01:02, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

I'm not sure about ditching the Staff of Life mod, I do know that mods can cause severe problems with your game, though. I would say that you should check where you got the mod and find out if it has any history of problems, and have you downloaded any other mods, because mods can be incompatible with each other. Check if those mods have any problems too, and if there's nothing wrong with them, then I have no other idea what the problem could be. Furby98 08:49, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Why Did Maxis Remove The Flora Editor Flora Monsters Would Look Cool On The Picernaut Grox Home world Grenos Prime

I think The Awnser is To Ban The Plants. Try That

I don't know why, but every time I enter the flora editor, the part of the screen where the plant and pot are supposed to be is just black. This Is Probably One Of The Unresolved Bugs In The Flora Editor.

Just a little note from my experience, only for earlier versions of spore. SporeEditor hack V2 Had the option to force editors. If you edited a spaceship, double clicked it's picture, and have the flora editor option on, The ship would act like a plant. While it was in the editor, the game allowed you to select the plants for editing. Then you remove all parts and save, and then delete them If I can remember correctly.Ever since the newer version, however, it won't work. DR8194 12:27, November 28, 2009 (UTC)

Patch 6[]

Maybe In patch 6 The Hidden Flora Editor might be Complete In patch 6. —This unsigned comment is by 99.35.26.122 (talkcontribs) . Please sign your posts with ~~~~!

Please sign, okay?--Liquid Ink 10:43, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

I added the unsigned template for him/her. Also that would be awesome but unlikely. —Preceding signed comment added by TimeMaster (talkcontribs) 13:25, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

Exoskeleton limbs and cube planets were also unlikely to come from patches. i think it's possible. FNRKK 13:33, September 2, 2009 (UTC)

Its more likely to be in an expansion, so EA/Maxis can make money out of it. Wormulon 14:56, September 3, 2009 (UTC)

Yeah, Maxis will milk Spore for all the money they can make from it.--Liquid Ink 22:31, October 17, 2009 (UTC)

More like EA would most of all. WormulWormulon Talk to me

Flora Editor[]

In the videos, this editor is refered to as the Flora Editor. Why then is the page called Plant Editor?--Liquid Ink 22:39, October 17, 2009 (UTC) spore is cool it is the beast thing ever created will wrigh=god

game: unreleased???[]

i dont get it, the game is spore, that it is unrealeased must be said in a other section of the article. should we change it, also for othere articles?--stay of my wodka, SUKA!!! 10:16, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

The game isn't Spore, because the Flora Editor wasn't released in it. If anything, "unreleased" should only be removed from the "Type" section of the infobox, because an "unreleased editor" isn't really a proper subtype of editor. GirdoPic Ghelae - (talk) 10:26, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

it was released in the game but in a form of a code that u can activate without any mods, so it is actually released in spore--stay of my wodka, SUKA!!! 18:24, April 27, 2011 (UTC)

Not really. It's glitchy, incomplete, and probably wasn't even meant to be in the game. It's not a "real" Flora Editor. GirdoPic Ghelae - (talk) 15:52, April 28, 2011 (UTC)

whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!!!! lol ok--stay of my wodka, SUKA!!! 17:17, April 28, 2011 (UTC)

It is what is called an artifact. It may well have been left in purposefully, as an unsupported feature for people to access. However, without mods its creations can't be saved or shared. WormulWormulon Talk to me 18:06, April 28, 2011 (UTC)
