Terrain editor

From SporeWiki, the knowledge base dedicated to Spore

At the demo at E3 there was a list of editors, one of which was called a Terrain editor. Whether this was referring to the standard terraforming tools on board the UFO or to a more controlled editor such as the creature or vehicle editors is unclear. However, you cannot make a planet in the final release of Spore, however you can terraform planets to create life-filled oases and dead, barren planets, sculpt mountains and oceans, and color from a deep blue to a bright pink as much as you like. You may not, however, fiddle with any planet in the Galaxy and broadcast it over the Sporepedia. An Adventure creator will be included in the new expansion, Spore Galactic Adventures. One part of the Adventure creator will allow the creation of planets via templates and drag-and-drop stamps. Flora, creatures, lakes, decorative formations, hills and the like, can be placed on the adventure planet. Although, players may not create a planet script, meaning that a player made planet will not appear in a Space game until the mission with the respective planet is requested from an empire.(There is, however, a new "free-play" option, where players can enter a mission outside of a Space game.) Players may only make planets as part of an adventure, not a planet script for a normal planet in the Space game. Since players will be able to edit the planet the adventure takes place on, there may be a possibility that a galactic editor could be added into the Terrain editor of the Adventure Creator.
