The exploration of a temparate planet.
This chronicles the story of the first planet outside of the Introi home system, and the first planet to be claimed by the Content:Natrian Empire If you like what you saw put a ! here: ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

I'm sorry I took so long updating this.
The Space eon: Year 26, Day 287, 2:5 1/2. Log of the interplanetary exploration ship C-model.
We have discovered a planet in the Si-4 system. It superficially resembles Content:Introa and appears to be rich with life. There are many bulky landmasses seperated by oceans and seas, much of the planet is green, especially around the equator. There is a large bank of clouds over much of the northern hemisphere, which I beleive is home to a steamy rich rainforest. The crew is rejoicing at being the first to step foot on an entirley alein planet. The council is going to be pleased, they might even give us a ceremony!

I hate this planet. We went down through the clouds and were not greeted by a steamy jungle, but by a frozen wasteland of Ice and snow as far as the eye could see. I was so shocked by this that I didn't notice the pressure gage going up to yellow. I had unsheilded the fuel tubes so that we would have extra power to scan the world: After all if this was a hot jungle why bother sheilding the fuel lines from cold. Unfortunatly this planet was not sub-tropical, it was sub-zero. The fuel main exploded from the new pressure of the frozen fuel and we went down. We were able to seal up the breach and I'm certain we'll be out of here in no time.

We have some seirious problems: The fuel lines will not reheat, we would have to wrap ourdelves around them for hours to heat the fuel back into liquid, and by then we'd be dead. The emergency beacon doesn't have the power to broadcast a signal back to Content:Introa, and the temperature is dropping rapidly. We will construct a shelter and then will proceed to attempt to repair the fuel main. I have noticed something odd about this world: The green trees that somehow survive here have leaves more like neeedles, even odder are the other trees which appear similar to dead trees in that they have no leaves. I beleive that some sort of disaster occured here long ago, but not so long that the dead trees bodys' would decompose, but long enough for the "needly" trees to grow to their current size. I shudder, not of cold, but of fear that what ever caused the freeze would return to find us upsetting its frozen land.

Oh Azyli I hate this place! If I ever get home I'm going to sell all I have and become a gluttori rancher, to ensure I never board a spaceship again! I have no idea how we're supposed to get food and how to generate warmth. All of the energy cutters are being used to repair the ship and I don't think that burning needles will keep us warm. The council expected us to establish a colony, they won't be worried for several years! And even worse: my wife is having a baby. Ordinarilly, I would be thrilled to no end, but he'll be another mouth to feed, and he'll live a life in this cold ice-ball. Even if we manage to develop a system of making food he'll never be able to hunt, or marry and have children and grandchildren, though I supose my first mate's daughter might marry him. I've said it once, well actually twice, and I'll say it again: I hate this low down, freezing ball of ice!

An odd shift in weather patterns has caused the planet to green up a bit. The snow has melted, and I beileive that the alein trees are starting to be used for new plant growth; just the other day I saw buds growing on them. I think that those were free floating, until the weather patterns brought them back down. They have latched themselves to the dead trees and I'm seeing tiny insects start to buss around some of the spores, which had turned into flowers. I took a sample of a queer substance they were making, and discovered that they were honey bees! A food source! I have decided to go ahead and authorize the building of a colony.

The planet appears to have fully recovered; a rich variety of animal life has returned and the farms are thriving. We even managed to repair the ship, even though we won't need it. I'm still kepping it under constant maintenence and supervision. My older son is always nagging at us, "When will the baby come? When will the baby come?" in his adorable fashion. I see nothing dampering our growth and we're doing a massive life form catalouge of the planet. We've even had enough time to examine microbs

It got cold again. First the leaves changed color, then the animals started disappearing, and snow started falling! I am frustrated to no end, why does this stupid planet have to tilt on it's own orbit!?! Why can't it stay still like Introa!?! That's it, I've decided to go with the glutorri rancher plan, I know some huge number of scientests will be coming here to investigate this "scientific marvel", but I have my safety to think about. My family and I are packing up and leaving, and in a few minutes I'm going to tell everyone. They can either get their names in the history books as the ones who didn't chicken out, or they can go home. I've got a feeling that my first mates family and freinds are going to stay, and I'm making a distress signal for the twenty of them. Goodby Si-4, I wasn't to curious about you in the first place!
