MechanicalMonarch the king of gears. An average guy who plays more video games than he probably should. I'm currently playing Civ IV and MapleStory. I'm just about everything that makes up an average geek except I'm not that smart. I play D&D, I read on my own time, I never go outside, and I get stuff thrown at me just because I exist. I'm currently looking into getting a BS in Computer Science with a minor in writing because I'd really love to be a game designer. I know what your thinking "he wants to play games for a living" but it's really much deeper then that. I've always seen games as a portal into a part of my life I could never reach otherwise. It's like I'm a different person when I play an MMO. Rather than the pale pudgy guy who always plays his DS during Study Hall, I become a funny guy with a ton of friends. When I play an action game, I end up feeling like I could take on anything in the world at that moment. When I beat the computer at a strategy game, I feel like I could make Hawking feeling stupid. I really want to give that experience to others by making portals for them. I lack the aptitude for math that programmers need and stick figures are my idea of a person when it comes to art so the only way I can do that is by actually designing them.

The one thing I'm told I'm good at is that I can make some nice sprites and art in MSpaint. If you need my services, I typically charge on a small fee of three jelly beans and a couch.
