[edit] Spore CC giveaway

Hi Kyle,

I think that would be a great idea and I am a member of a few spore communities and would love to get something like this up and running (and might possibly submit some stuff myself!)

Since you said you want it started ASAP I'll set up a page for submissions here and start getting some contestants tonight. I'll set up a basic description from the information you've given but feel free to add on anything you think would be useful. The page is Spore CC Giveaway.

Thank you very much for doing this and any instructions you have for me feel free to let me know. Mason11987 (T) 04:16, 25 June 2008 (UTC)

Awesome! I'm working on shoring up a few of the details, but I'll play around with that page a little bit later. I plan to start running Wikia spotlights about the contest on Friday, so we'll consider that the official start of the competition, but anyone who wants to go ahead and submit their entry before then is welcome to. --KyleH@Wikia (talk) 19:39, 25 June 2008 (UTC)
Evesdropping a bit here... I like the idea of the latest creature a user submits being the one that counts...this means that the competition could actually get competetive! People could say..."Hey, that one looks better than mine!" and go make a better one.
Just a suggestion...maybe you should add an additional rule that creations must be created using the trial version (since the prize is the full version). So far there aren't any entries that violate this, so it would be okay to add the rule.
Thanks for hosting this contest, and have fun holding it! Schnautzr 23:44, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

An idiot deleted all of my creature files. I was entering just for fun anyways.Introi Leader 19:33, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

Aw man, I really wanted to see that one walking around too. I'm sorry to hear that. :( --KyleH@Wikia (talk) 19:37, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Assistance with resolving a dispute

Kyle, there's a slight dispute about moving concept space articles over to the content space. Could you help resolve this [1] [2] while it's still relatively calm? Thanks! Schnautzr 16:29, 18 July 2008 (UTC)

The issue is whether Concept pages should be moved to the Content namespace if they haven't been made in-game. Back when the SporeWiki was not part of Wikia, it was decided that for better organization of the Wiki, all Concept pages should be moved to the Content namespace. This page gives some information about that: [3]. That page says that all Concept pages should be moved to the Content namespace, and later make a page such as "Content:CreatureName/Concept", once the creature has been made in the editor. Schnautzr believes that Concept pages should only be moved once the creature has been created in-game, while I believe that all Concept pages should be moved to the Content namespace, and then the author can choose whether or not to move it to a subpage once they have made their creature. At least that's what that link leads me to believe was the purpose of the Content namespace. Lualmoba 22:55, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
I couldn't have captured the two sides of the disagreement better myself, and so justly, at that! :) Schnautzr 04:26, 19 July 2008 (UTC)
I have looked over and have explained a resolution over at Lual's Talk. If my explanation is still unclear, feel free to leave a comment on my talk. Yossitaru (Talk - Contributions) 21:07, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
