[edit] Hey
I saw your edit on my talk page, don't worry about "bothering me" and feel free to ask me whatever. It's always nice to have someone go through and clean up all the important articles like you've been doing, so let me know if I can help with any problem you have. -- Mason11987 (T - C - E) 19:47, 20 July 2006 (PDT)
[edit] While you are doing minor edits all around
One thing that really needs to be done is the articles need to be in a more 3rd person tone. Meaning there shouldn't be phrases like "you can do this" or "your creature" and instead phrases like "the player can do this" or "the players creature". Basically the articles need to be talking about something that the player can do, not what the reader can do.
Of course I'm not just putting this on you, but if you feel like doing anything, that's something to do :). -- Mason11987 (T - C - E) 20:54, 20 July 2006 (PDT)
- Yes, I will do that too :). -- Lualmoba 10:23, 21 July 2006 (PDT)
[edit] Concept/Content
Please don't move pages from the Concept space to the Content space unless you are have provided (at minimum) a screenshot as proof the creature has been created (should replace the sketched image). Schnautzr 19:51, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, it's still in effect; you can move them, but only if they really have been created. Can you prove these are content via screenshot or a link? That's all it takes. Schnautzr 12:26, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- If I'm not mistaken, what you've described doesn't quite make sense, moving pages twice. The Content space is for creations which already exist, regardless of whether it's in a trailer or in the actual game. Concept space articles should stay there, and (as I gather from what you've offered) moved to a subpage of the Content space article following the actual creation. However, where I think you're wrong is in moving a concept to a content page. This move should never take place, unless a concept actually becomes content.
- I'd like to get a second opinion, so that I can be sure I'm not off my rocker or something. Let me call an admin or veteran of a sort into this discussion, so we can get the real answer. Schnautzr 16:26, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
- Hey guys! Schnautzr asked me to stop by to discuss this the issue you're discussing here. Unfortunately, I'm having a little bit of difficulty understanding what the issue is. Is the question regarding what qualifies as content vs. concept? It seems to be like the line of delineation should lie between what is just an idea, and what actually exists in the game in some shape or form (either because it's been shown by the developers, or because someone has created it). Can one of you explain the situation a little bit better for me? You may also want to check with Mason11987 or Ose. Since they seem to be the active admins of the local wiki, they may have a better idea of how the policy is designed to be applied. --KyleH

- Alright, it has been brought to my attention that there has become an issue with our policy made a couple years back, or rather a lack of understanding of it. First, it seems that the Seperation of Creations has been understood and may be at the root of the dispute. Second, we also decided on a Content Mix-up That is to say that instead of using (game) and (concept) pages, we would use the overhanging Content:<Name> page as the portal to all aspects of said creation.
- We also decided on an order of precedence for how the pages should be moved. First and foremost, the order is if only a concept page exists, it becomes the Content:<Name> page, if only the game page exists, it becomes the Content:<Name> page and if both exist, the game page becomes the Content:<Name> page and the concept page becomes a subpage at Content:<Name>/concept. I realize these are old rules, but I don't see any reason why they should not be still honored and upheld. Yossitaru (Talk - Contributions) 21:01, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
