[edit] Search engine optimization

Hey Martin. I wanted to give you a heads up on the edit I just made to MediaWiki:Pagetitle, the file that controls the text displayed in the browser's title bar. We're taking a more aggressive approach to search engine optimization. I've been assigned with dropping by the top 50 gaming wikis to edit that file in order to maximize traffic from search engines. Feel free to replace and/or add words as you see fit, but leave 'Spore Wiki' at the far left since that's the most important thing. [edit] New Tool Pages

I saw that you did the Cargo Hold page merging the four separate articles into one. I started doing the same with Interstellar Drive, Energy Storage, Health, and Happy Ray, but do not know exactly how to do a template like you did with the Cargo Hold article. I am simply asking if you would be able to make that and complete those articles so that they can be used and help remove some of the clutter from the Ship Tools database. morgoth ^t/_C 18:53, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Fair enough, whenever you feel like you have the time, you can get to it. I would get to it, but I don't know any css, I might learn at some point, but I don't know it yet. I also don't know how to make an svg of the images, so the entire thing is out of my ability. But I gave it a good start, even though the part I'm leaving you seems to be the most work. We seem to be growing, and I think it's about time we sort out the legal issues concerning game screenshots and content .pngs and stuff. Can you try to make contact with EA again? You seem to be the one who's best with all the legal mumbo jumbo. Basically we simply want their approval of the use of the images (and the fan kit?), or if they don't approve, we want to know what other options we have (loading images from sporepedia?).
